Reviews of M Health Fairview Ridges Hospital
"Service is awful. They’ve adopted DEI initiatives and make Caucasian patients wait while seeing patients of other races first, clearly violating the Patient Bill of Rights. A thirty minute wait becomes two hours, and they ignore elderly white patients even though they need care first and were waiting longer. This place wasn’t this bad even during Covid, but now it’s awful."
"The hospital, and its E.R. department have been good to my Mom. My Mom had 2 surgeries done here which were successful and recovery was great. My Mom has used the E.R. many times for different issues and wait time varies from a few hours to 6 hours depending on the day and time she got there. The staff and doctors have been great to my Mom even tho they have been short staffed a few times. Being my Mom is retired military on Tricare for Life pretty much gets her healthcare for free. Thank God she made a good decision to join the military as her life post service is stress free."
"Never coming here ever again!!! By far one of the worst hospitals I have ever been to! Took my 3 year old in because he was wheezing and sounded like and looks like he was having a hard time breathing. Even the nurses see that and hears him breathing. But the doctor thinks different. Says it’s a virus and it will go away eventually or could maybe even be a little bronchitis. Told us to check in with the pediatrician in a couple of days if the symptoms doesn’t go away. Or if it gets worst over the weekend we are welcome to come back and get him checked. Why would I come back a second time if my son wasn’t throughly examined in the first place?!?! Felt very rushed and didn’t even listen. Needless to say that I would rather drive a little further out to get help from doctors who are actually there trying to help their patients and listen."
"On my flight home had dry heaves, stomach retching bile, diarrhea. Horrible! My son picked me up and brought me to the ER in Burnsville Fairview Ridges. They were wonderful, caring, and listened. Their system of sending patients back out with the IV poles was ingenious. I had never seen that before. This method allows more patients to be seen quicker. We were there for 3 hours, mostly waiting for lab results and the good hour it takes for the IV to run out. Dr. Matthews and his PA were great! Very thorough and they LISTENED! Chelsea checked me in and took great care of me, Capri checked me out and was delightful. I wish I would have gotten the names of everyone...so many different people I saw; but they all knew what was going on with me, and there were a lot of people there. Really impressive ER staff!"
"If I could give a negative review, I would. Disgusting ER doctors. We went in because we thought we might have overfed our daughter, but everything was okay with her. Then, out of nowhere, they tried to put my girlfriend on a 72 hour hold because she hadn't slept looked exhausted. Clearly just trying to get more money out of us because our daughter was completely okay and didn't need treatment. What kind of terrible training do you have to have to confuse sleep deprivation with depression?? What a joke. I also went here twice due to severe abdominal pain and was sent away saying "it was probably just constipation." Then the ONE time I went to the U of M Fairview Hospital they immediately knew something more was wrong. Come to find out I had an autoimmune disorder! Some of the nurses are okay but that's the only redeemable feature of this nightmare hospital. Until they fire every single doctor under the roof of the building and properly train new ones - you're better off bleeding out in the car trying to get somewhere else."
