"My November appointment needed to change because Dr Fogal was no longer working on the day of my appointment. First available was December 26, so I took it so I could use my insurance benefit of $200 towards new glasses. I get to my appointment and the technician went from being unfriendly to very rude when I asked if I would get a prescription for new glasses. She said NO and so I pressed her to be sure that I was remembering right, that I didn't already have an exam in 2023. Then she went into a monologue on how the doctor might not have time to do it today and that my insurance might not cover it because it wasn't on the list of testing for this appointment and I'd "be on the hook" for $200. I asked to change technicians and she said it would a "long wait" for me. In that case I decided to just get it over with and move on to asking the doctor about it. Dr. Fogal told me that I should have been scheduled for a refraction but the "guy he was working with in May dropped the ball". He does have a new assistant, so perhaps that employee is no longer working there, but in any case he is the physician and needs to be sure that the documentation and plan for the next appointment are correct!! Right after my appointment I drove over to Target optical (across Highway 65) to use my benefit $$ on new glasses. I had just started looking at frames and the sales person finds me to tell me my prescription is incomplete!!! Anyone who lives in the northern suburbs knows how bad Highway 65 is and it's now close to 4p, so I decide to call to see if they can just fix my prescription and fax it. I call the main number and after talking to someone for 10 minutes, she finally asks if she can transfer me to the Blaine office front desk!! So, she transferred me. Barb who answered the phone informed me that both the assistant and doctor had just left and there was no one there who could fix it. She was very nice and assured me she would get it fixed in the morning and fax it over to Target and then call me. Unfortunately, the clinic had a doctor out sick so everyone was calling patients to cancel their appointments, so it was close to 9:30a before she could call me. I do understand that, but it's still hard when I've had such a frustrating appointment. I did ask to change physicians for future appointments! Too many "dropped balls" happened and I want to be sure that the plan for my appointments is done correctly. Too much rides on it!!"

"Great people! Waited ALL of 5 minutes and I was called to go in for eye exam, WOW, that was a first, from any medical office. There's one room for multiple test's, where you may have other patients having one form of eye test while you're having another. Sort of like an assembly line set up. It was 1st time meeting Dr. Fogal, what a great Optometrist! Personal, friendly, gave great detail on my old eyeballs status. All around a very positive learning experience. Thank you!"
