"I am so grateful that I found Twin Cities TMJ. I had been chasing a problem for almost three years. I had originally gone to another TMJ clinic and it was an awful experience. I was feeling a little defeated but Dr. Strief listened to my concerns and took the time to really to get the bottom of what was going on. He came up with a plan and the results have been amazing. Literally night and day. The office staff is so friendly and know you by name which is so nice. I am so happy and could not recommend them enough."

Streif, DDS is the very best doctor I have ever had in all the many years I have experienced problems with my TMJ disorder. He is professional, friendly, very knowledgeable, and truly cares for each of his clients who he is helping to get pain relief. He has made me dental appliances to wear nightly to help align my jaw joints correctly, to help me with the wear and tear that happens to our jaw joints if we grind or clench our teeth, and he has custom made these appliances to fit correctly over my teeth. He will make sure the fit for these appliances is perfect. He is a wonderful doctor! He has surely hired all of the right staff also- Kim who works at the front desk, answering calls and making you feel welcome, always with a smile. Chelle is there to help Dr. Streif get your night guard ready for you, and Jessica is there to assist you also with your night guard and walk you back to the front desk after your appointment is over. I had not seen him or his staff in over two years, but just came into his office on March 5, 2024. I can't thank him enough for his kindness, caring, concerned attitude, compassion, and professionalism he treats his patients with. Dr. Streif truly wants to see you get out of your pain and will help you do just that. He goes the extra mile for us, works out the best plan for helping you achieve your goals, and he wants you to have a happy life. He truly cares about you as a person and demonstrates that by his words and actions. His staff works with you also, letting you know as well that you matter, and your desire to get out of your pain is important to them. I would say that Dr. Streif and his team treat you as they would treat a family member. "I have had severe TMJ since I was 10 years old. I wasn't aware that there were TMJ specialists out there. My dentist referred me to see Dr. Streif. Dr. Streif was extremely attentive and created a night guard for me. It was completely different than any previous dental appliance I have received. My jaw pain went from a 8/10 to a 0/10. I am very grateful. The office team is goes above and beyond as well. I had a lot of issues with my insurance/billing. The office team help guide me through the situation and reached out to my insurance company multiple times. I would suggest anyone with TMJ pain to see Dr/ Streif and his team."

"After a long, confusing exam the doctor recommended therapy at the therapist next door to his clinic. Both the exam and something like 8 therapy sessions were a waste of time. My jaw pain has barely improved and the recommended therapists have run out of ideas on how to treat it. I guess I'll ask my family doctor if she has any other options because I'm not going back."

My issue was somewhat unique, and Dr. Streif took the time to fully assess my situation and got down to the root cause of my issue by asking numerous questions, listening, looking at x-rays, and examination. He even provided me with a hard copy summary of my visit before I left the office, and it included the diagnose, assessment, treatment plan, and costs. What set this visit apart from other doctor visits was Dr. Streif's thorough assessment (making me feel confident in the diagnosis), listening skills (didn't feel rushed), and kindness (I felt as though he cared about me and my situation).
