"Wow, there isn’t enough space here for me to write everything that went wrong during my stay at that “hospital”. Every single staff member that I encountered (during a four day three night stay) should not have a job that involves helping other people. It would seem that the staff members I encountered were disgusted by people and bothered by people. None of them should be allowed within 70 feet of a patient that needs help. I don’t the faintest idea why they haven’t been shut down yet. I’m going to begin with a complaint to the Minnesota medical board and see where I get. Avoid this hospital at all costs. If you are in an ambulance insist they drive you to ANY other hospital than Buffalo Allina. My hope is someone reads this and potentially chooses a different hospital and their life is spared because they didn’t go to Buffalo hospital. Don’t even get me started on the fact that I was denied pain medication after surgery. Don’t get me wrong the doctor ordered it. RN flat out refused to give me pain medication and she could give me no reason why other than “ You can’t become dependent on pain medication, eventually you have to go home” whaaaaaaaatdufuhhh An RN blatantly defying doctors orders is allowed at Buffalo Hospital. She must’ve assumed I was a drug seeker. No lady, I just had surgery you dumb dumb. Update: I came back to add But I spoke to their patient relations Representative like they suggest all patients due after a one star review. I gave that patient relations woman enough information where anybody that’s human would’ve at least said I’m sorry you went Through that. At the end of the phone call I said I at least expected somebody from Allina to say “I’m sorry you went through that.” She said well I don’t know how to say I’m sorry because I don’t know if you’re going to sue us. I said I’m A human, I assume you’re a human; most humans no matter the circumstances When they hear a story of the pain someone has been through would in human nature say “I’m sorry you went through that. However you’re only sorry about it if I don’t sue.” What an absolute insane hospital this is. There must be something in the water there, because Anybody there with any sort of authority whatsoever acts like other humans are a major burden. Unbelievable. Update:"
"First, there were a couple of phenomenal nurses for whom we were so very grateful during such an awful and traumatic experience. They run things on a skeleton crew. The trash bins in the bathroom and the postpartum room were always overflowing. The linens often over flowed. The food is not edible and the trays often sat in the room until the next day. My daughter was very ill. They left her sit smelling like diarrhea and with puke in her hair for two full days. Another family member and I used basins to wash her hair and clean her up as best as possible. There was NO hot water in her room. When she was physically able to get to the shower, the floor flooded and we had to move rooms. After that she was no longer physically able to shower so there she laid still dirty until we were able to clean her. I asked for a syringe to feed baby, and the nurse refused. I walked out to keep my temper and found that she had forced my daughter to use her nasty finger which had not been washed in nearly 3 days because she was confined to a bed to feed the baby. Daughter later rang for help to feed baby and 45 min later no one had come so the baby didn’t get the glucose test he needed. The second time we rang, the nurse just shut it off without speaking or letting my daughter ask for what she needed. She wasn’t being needy she was ringing for legitimate necessary needs. Then they overmedicated my daughter causing her blood pressure to drop very low which triggered more very invasive interventions. Dr. Honsey and Dr. Akram are nightmares. Thank goodness for the hospitalists that helped her get out of that horrible place. The trauma for her and for me having to witness what they were put through is real. Have a baby there at your own risk."
"NOT HAPPY. Family member went in for out patient procedure and then when she had a bad reaction to a medication THEY themselves had given her, didn't even know and instead the ER ran blood tests and an EKG. Unnecessary expense, money wasted, time wasted, and the additional stress this put on the entire family! Evidently they don't keep good records or they don't bother to read your chart if there are complications. it took a 2nd trip to the ER to be given something to counteract the first medication. Way to pad their billing, non for profit? Right."
"My boyfriend went to this emergency room in extreme pain and they did tests and a CT. Said nothing was wrong and discharged him. I knew something was really wrong so I brought him to a different hospital. The 2nd hospital diagnosed him and he was admitted with the CT scan that Buffalo did where they said he was fine. Absolutely HORRIBLE hospital. Nurses are incredibly rude and don’t listen to patients. I wouldn’t bring my worst enemy here. Don’t waste your time and money. Go to a different hospital."
"The OB/GYN and birth center here is amazing! They made me feel strong and empowered from week 1 until delivery. Compassionate and skilled doctors, nurses, and staff. Highly recommend!"
