About the Business
Rustling Elms Resort is a 5th generation family-owned and operated business since 1924, located at 74637 Rustling Elms Road West in Ortonville, Minnesota, United States. We offer lodging, real estate agency, RV park, and travel agency services. Our goal is to provide a relaxing and nostalgic experience for our guests, where they can unwind, rejuvenate, and create lasting memories.
We have two charming cabins available for rent, both of which were once summer family homes and date back to the 1920s. These cabins feature beautiful woodwork, spacious grounds, and private docks, offering a peaceful retreat on the shores of Big Stone Lake. Our seasonal spots are ideal for those looking for a home away from home without breaking the bank, with stunning lake views throughout the day.
At Rustling Elms Resort, we pride ourselves on our quiet and peaceful campground, welcoming staff, beautiful sandy beaches, and well-maintained grounds. We offer overnight full hookups and seasonal lots with 30 or 50-amp service, as well as double-wide lots for your convenience. Whether you're looking for a weekend getaway or a summer escape, Rustling Elms Resort is the perfect destination to relax, restore, and reminisce.

Reviews
"Beautiful spot on the lake! Very well kept grounds."
"The owners are awesome, we had a medical emergency, and they were very accommodating. The campground, however, is just OK. There are no amenities except for lake access. The Wi-Fi only works if you are close to the office. The sites are gravel and very close together, but there is a nice lake view. Verizon was slow, but T-Mobile was OK. Be careful of the 1st speed bump, it is very high. Some of the trees need trimming. There is not very much to do in the area. So because of all this, I think the price of $65 is too high."
"Tranquil spot with a beautiful view of Big Stone Lake. We have rented a spot for a camper for the weekend a few times now. Most spots have full hookups. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The trip is always extremely relaxing."
"Hospitality is wonderful. The neighbors are friendly. The kids are well entertained with a beautiful sandy beach. And the fishing is great. What more can you expact? (5 stars)"
"It's a very friendly atmosphere. And beautifully kept up grounds. Donna, Shanda and family are very accommodating to your needs. They keep the beach and landscape well manicured. We love it! ...Bonnie P."
