Sunset Bay Resort

"We had the pleasure of staying at this resort over the last week. We had a fishing tournament and decided last minute to camp instead of stay in a hotel. The resort is extremely well maintained and the new owners were fabulous to work with and had great communication. They even start you off with some firewood! The shower house was clean, and not a typical camping shower. The beach is gorgeous and great for kiddos. They have a nice playground and games as well. They do have a nice washer and dryer if needed. There is definitely a reason it’s named Sunset Bay, the view in the evening as the sun goes down is breathtaking. Dead Lake is definitely not dead. It was a wonderful location for the bass tournament. We also caught a ton of eater sized northern (so many more than you can imagine), heard the crappie fishing is great as well and saw a ton of bluegill and perch. We had an excellent stay and hope to visit again when we have more time to relax, and hopefully bring the family. Thank you for everything!"

"Love this resort. So much to do from swimming, boating, to yard games and game room. The sunsets here are amazing. Owners are are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is fun relaxing."

"This place is absolutely the best. We are about to go there today for our 4th year. Each stay is a week long. The cabins are clean and cute, the owners Jim and Kristen are like family and so welcoming. And the Dead Lake is very clean and the sandy beach at the resort is amazing! Also, the fishing is absolutely amazing! There are plenty of trophy fish in the lake and if you have a family full of girls like me, there are unlimited amounts of nice fat sunnies/bluegill. We are always able to have two fish fries during our week long stay and also bring home a bunch for the freezer. They have fat lively crawlers for sale at the little store and a really nice fish cleaning house. There is an awesome playground and indoor game room, so plenty for everyone to do. There is even an ice cream social one night and a week long fishing competition amongst all the cabins. This vacation is always one of the best weeks of my family's year. Go there!"
