Perfect set up for families with young children, as the playground is central to the cabins. Our kids love the paddle boards and kayaks they have by the beach as well! Truly a great experience."

"My wife, daughters and I stayed at Cabin 17 last week. We absolutely adored our stay. Our daughters are small so they get cold easily, so the heated pool was fantastic. We Went there several times a day, went to the lake a few times to use the kayaks, stand up paddle boards, paddleboats, and the sandy beach. The girls loved the group activities too...they love their camp chair, smores, casting, all kinds of fun. Just enough to keep us busy, but leaving enough time for us to explore Lake Itasca park and Park Rapids. And just being able to stroll in and get ice cream whenever. Every year we seem to start thinking of where we're going the next year, but we really really like that we get to reserve the same cabin for the same week the following year. As we paid, we already reserved for next year, so now we don't have to search, worry we won't find somewhere, or not know if we'll like it. We will be back!"

"Our family loves HMT. The owners and staff are friendly, thoughtful and experienced. The grounds are gorgeous. We love the all camp Kettle Corn by the fire pit, the competitions and the milkshakes! Between the kayaks, canoe, paddle boards, paddle boat, swimming dock, beach, pool, carpet ball, playground, trails, arcade, ping pong table and fishing docks, our kids (7-2 yo) are busy all day every day. We look forward to our trips and are sad to leave."

"Ryan and Liz are absolutely wonderful! Easy to work with, very responsive and so nice! We fully enjoyed our week long stay. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Our cabin was clean and had everything we needed (dishes, pots and pans). There were tons of things for my kids to do! Pool, great beach, play set, and lots of fabulous ice cream! The staff were all so friendly and kind. We definitely felt at home here and can't wait to make this a yearly tradition. Highly recommend!!"
