"Sunflower daycare is a warm, nurturing environment with a well-structured early learning program that allows for flexible and robust learning in two different languages. While our son attended Sunflower, we have observed the teachers and staff go above and beyond to help him grow, teach manners, maintain discipline, and allow the children to express themselves through play. The director and staff are friendly, consistent, and responsive to the needs of each child and family. We are grateful for the high value placed on staff retention, especially in the youngest classes. The center has an open floor plan that allows the children and teachers to communicate easily and helps the children transition between age groups seamlessly. The double doors and bell maintain security; the roundabout allows for easy drop-off and easy parking; the outdoor play space is also shaded during much of the day. We love the creative art projects that the students make with diverse materials to foster creativity and skills such as using a scissors. There are definitely many art projects my son has completed that we are going to keep in our archive. The holidays and cultural celebrations have been so much fun for our son with dress-up opportunities and visiting characters like Det Maroz. He has made great friends and learned collaborative play. There have also been dance and music teachers brought in for extra enrichment. We have always been incredibly pleased with the professional photography at Sunflower in autumn and spring. The meals and snacks are also stellar. Rather that bland canned food, fresh, nutritious food is made from scratch that gets children used to eating a diverse, healthy diet. My son is going to start kindergarten in September and I think he is well prepared for that next step. However, we will miss the atmosphere at Sunflower: the celebration parties, the heartfelt devotion of the teachers, and the sincerity and professionalism of the staff."

"Our kiddos have been attending Sunflower since they were a year old (4.5 now). We’ve had a fantastic experience the entire time they’ve attended. The director and teachers all continuously put so much thought, effort and creativity into the curriculum. Activities are always interesting, age appropriate and stimulating for the kiddos. Dinner conversation is always full of what the kids learned that day and the interesting activities they got to do (dance class, music class, yoga…) Another favorite part for our kids has been the traditional Russian holidays and celebrations that are put on by the staff. The parties are always meticulously planned and such a magical experience. The teachers go the extra mile by wearing traditional clothing, planning games and creating delicious menus to really make those days special. The daily lunch menu is also constantly evolving and full of interesting and nutritional options that incorporate both American and Russian foods. It’s been a huge relief as a parent to know the kids’ nutritional needs are met every day.
