"My daughter had eye surgery here. Everything was great from check in to discharge. Nurses are top notch and there are special staff to come in and discuss surgery with your child and make it fun for them."
"When I was a girl I came here every time I needed anything done. This specialty clinic had everything you could ever need! I got my dental, spinal, ortho, pediatric, and optometric work done here, and that’s not even all that they offer! I highly recommend coming to this facility if you want to do everything at the same place."
"Came in today for my 5yr to get his dental work done... (white caps in the front teeth silver caps in the back...) The moment you walk in you are feel welcomed & know that your child is in very good hands! They ask you kindly to sanitize your hands when you walk in & I think that's awesome! Keeping everyone safe! :D we were an hour early but they didnt make us wait. The receptionist logged in his information.. my husbands & mine while my son was in the waiting room 5 ft away from me with so many toys to play with while you're busy with the paper work. We waited in that room for about 5 to 10 mins when a nurse came to get us into his very own room... she got his height & weight & even had little toys in front of him to distract him for everything he might think is scary... when we got to his room she explained everything that was going to happen in that hour... she handed us pjs & some warm socks for him to put on. Once we were done with everything else he was able to play in the huge play house & toys they have for them there while we wait... every single one of his nurses & doctors came to us in that hour (we were super early) to explain what each one of them would be doing to my child in his surgery... I was super nervous but they did a wonderful job in calming me down & making sure I was ok before the procedure... nurses played with him with the smells or gas mask they were going to be using for him to get a feel as too what he would be seeing before he was anesthetized... they let my husband who is deployed overseas to video chat him before & also let me be in the room while he was being anesthetized... he had never had that done before so it was a hard experience for me but I knew he was in good hands... once we were ready they walked us to the family waiting room where they have nice hot coffee & crackers... they also have a binder of places near by who deliver... the procedure was about 2 hours... once he was ready they had him in a nice comfortable position with his daddy doll that he went in with sound asleep... they took his vitals... gave him some popsicles & once he was ready we went on our way home... best experience I have ever had with a hospital! I would 10/10 recommend this place!❤ Also I would like to add the pediatric dentist who is not from that hospital Dr Han... best pediatric dentist ever!!! Hes located in shakopee St Francis hospital... he called today around 8pm to make sure my son was doing good... who takes their personal time to call their patients?? Amazing! God bless you all who took great care of my son! ♡"
"My 2 year old had imaging today. We have been through a lot of medical issues with both children. Today has by far been the best experience we have had with Childrens ever! It was our first time being at the Minnetonka location. From checkin to discharge we felt heard, valued, and most importantly the nurses and doctors were well informed, knowledgeable, and cared for our child’s wellbeing physically and emotionally. Thank you Minnetonka Childrens for making this hard experience uneventful."
"The Competency of Doctors and Nurses is on par with St. Paul location. But the team/group dynamic is very lacking and the communication between doctors and nurses are not as thought out. We were asked the same questions several times, much more then we were ever asked at ST. Paul. They also got the MRI order wrong. Lastly, the process to sedate our daughter was just for a lack of a better word, thoughtless. Our 8 year old daughter has sensory issues and they already tried for 20 minutes to convince her unsuccessfully to do the MRI without sedation. But for some reason, they chose to sedate her in the same MRI room, the source of her stress. We had thought she would of been sedated in her comfort room and brought out to the MRI, like St. Paul. These little mishaps make us as parents even more worried that folks and Minnetonka location are not a good choice for Parents. Additionally The attitude of the receptionists in front was always cold and unwelcoming. This translated to the worse experience we've had to date with children's. Do yourself a favor, especially if you have a special needs child, go to the St. Paul location. The difference is night and day."
