"I wish I didn’t have to even give you one star because this hospital and the provider that my husband saw in the ER not once but twice failed to adequately diagnose and almost killed my husband. He saw my husband January 30. He saw my husband again February 4. My husband almost died at Maple Grove hospital on February 9 I would never bring anyone to this hospital ever. the doctor thought my husband was faking it. my husband has sepsis The doctor did all the same bloodwork that Maple Grove did. My husband was then transferred to Robbinsdale Hospital where he was in the ICU. He ended up having heart surgery because he ended up having sepsis in his tricuspid valve in his heart. And in his SI joint in his hip that they gave him muscle relaxers for .He also has an enlarged spleen and an enlarged liver and low platelets of two. along with pneumonia in his lungs, which Monticello did a CT scan of. I am so angry.we live less than 2 miles from this hospital and I thought let’s just take them here and see if they will help him.they didn’t, the first diagnosis was that the dr thought my husband had the stomach flu. My husband wasn’t even throwing up, yet sent him home with Zofran anti-nausea medicine four days later my husband came in with hip pain, along with fever, chills, and shivering and sweating all classic signs of sepsis. They thought he was making it up and did a psych eval on my husband.he was literally crying he was in so much pain. He wasn’t acting violent, being loud or mean.he was just very sick and in a lot of pain. Then proceeded to diagnose him with acute viral syndrome and sent him home with Flexeril muscle relaxants for his hip. My cats get better treatment at the vet than my husband did He’s a navy vet. I’m so ashamed. As of this review my Husband is STILL in the hospital.Always advocate for your loved ones and get second opinions if you don’t believe you’re getting proper care. i’m glad we went to a different, provider that cared and listened."
"My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience bringing our child into the world here!! The nurses and care team in the birth center were exceptional and so nice. Dr. Schirm and her team were the best."
"Had to bring my 11 year old daughter for appendicitis and everyone was very friendly but the reason for the 5 stars was Dr. Jason Glenn he was the best surgeon I've ever dealt with! I don't trust hospitals or doctors and this guy was patient understanding and totally awesome! Thanks Dr. Glenn"
"Had to drain a very painful large infected cyst at home because they didn't want to do anything for me here and they expected me to wait longer than I already have waited for another appointment. It was to the point if I had waited even a day longer it would have likely ruptured inside of my body like the last cyst I had. the doctors here did not listen to me at all and were acting like I was wasting their time. I sat in a room for 5 hours to be told information that I already knew and treated like trash. I shouldn't have to Lance my own cysts because your doctors are too lazy to do their job."
"I was a patient at the Monticello hospital in June. I went through the emergency room. I was there for kidney stones. While I was there a man entered my room, asked me if I could walk down stairs and I told him yes. He then said he was from physical therapy and I needed to prove that I could. So I walked down the hall on my own, entered the therapy room and walked up and down the steps and then walked back to my room. They charged me $250.00 for this. I was never informed why and being from out of state, my insurance would not pay for this. I protested but they are now threatening me with collections so I either pay or have it go against my credit. I feel that this was a total scam and just a way to fleece patients of more money. Nobody could tell me why this was done which is really frustrating. I could be on my death bed but would never go back there."
