"I was greeted when I came in but ultimately had to seek out some help on my own. The girl who helped me was very professional and tried to be helpful, but she wasn't knowledgeable. She had to look it up which I felt was odd bc working in retail, myself, I knew the products I was selling. Ulta is supposed to be a specialty makeup store, yet they had one drug store brand and a brand I'm unfamiliar with (LA Girl) for the product I wanted, a simple gel eyeliner. The associate offered to see if they could order some for me, but if I was going to order makeup, I don't really need Ulta for that. I decided to try the LA Girl brand. It ended up being extremely flakey during application and flaked all over my under eye area and into my eyes. So not only was the store not exactly knowledgeable or helpful, but the product I was sold, was absolutely trash. Furthermore, I brought my son in with me and he was interested in purchasing makeup as well. If he had been a little girl, I can imagine the staff would have gone out of their way to show him some attention or encourage him, but even all the way up until we purchased a lip color for him, nobody said anything at all to him. It wasn't worth my time to even stop in. I'll stick with quality brands I know from other sellers."
