"We had a great experience! Everyone was very nice. The 3 of us were “walk-ins” and they got us in a fairly decent time. We had the manicure/pedicure/foot massage. If we’re ever in the area again we will go back."
"First time guest and very happy. They also have a great colour selection. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking to get their nails done."
"Super nice, they’ve done a fabulous job going on 3 years of using them!"
"Had my nails done at this salon. Overall, it turned out good, but not excellent. There are some shape issues, but the quality is satisfactory. The service was decent, and I appreciate the effort put into it."
"I went to Magic Nails on Main Street. Usually, I just go there to get my eyebrows waxed because the nail salon that I usually go to does not do waxes. So today (Thursday, August 3rd, 2023) I go into Magic Nails and ask for an eyebrow wax. A Hispanic lady with long, curly blonde hair (who I am going to call Woman A because I do not know her real name) led me back to the room where they do waxes. She paid such close attention to detail and did not rush through it. My eyebrows look AMAZING. I then decide “What the heck? I may as well get a pedicure while I am here.” Carmen (unsure of spelling) did my pedicure. She has done my eyebrow waxes in the past, and I love her! She is so kind and takes her time doing whatever it is she is doing. So far, I have no complaints with the wax or pedicure. It is when I go to the dryer that things start to go awry. A spot something on the floor; it is a roach. I immediately panic: 1. because I have a major, irrational fear of bugs 2. because it was already dead, so I automatically assume that there are more live ones around. When I regain my composure, I notice that one of the technicians is ASLEEP AND SNORING on the couch in middle of the salon. I understand that they have extremely long days, but to take a nap in middle of the salon while there are at least 5 customers within earshot of you is just unprofessional in every way. IT DOESN’T STOP THERE. At this point, I have been sitting at the dryer for 3-4 minutes. Carmen, bless her soul, comes over to check on my toes. She asks if I want some disposable sandals to wear. I say yes because when I walk my big toe tends to crowd the second toe. I have toe separators in to help combat this issue. Carmen walks to the back, and on her way back to me, she trips over something and falls. Two of the other ladies that were doing pedicures go over to her and make sure she is okay. I turn around to ensure that she does not need help, and the guy on the couch is still asleep. An Asian male walked up to me and tells me that my toes are dry without even touching them. Remind you, I have not been sitting under the dryer for maybe 5 minutes at this point. About this time, Woman A (one who did my eyebrow wax) walks up with the disposable sandals and tries to hand them to the guy. He pushes them away, rips out the toe separators, and tells me I am good. Carmen is still on the ground. He does not check on her. My toes (surprise, surprise) are still wet. Woman A and I make eye contact and she gave me a look of “I am so sorry.” I laugh (not at her, but at the whole situation) and get up to leave. Thank GOODNESS I decided not to get a fill even though the male asked me on 3 separate occasions. I walked out of the salon, sat in my car, and deliberated on what happened. It was the most chaotic/awkward/interesting experience I have EVER had in a salon, and that’s saying a lot because I’ve being going for almost 13 years now. To end this story, I want to reiterate that Carmen, Woman A, and the other female workers were nothing but comforting and paid close attention to detail. However, the males that were in the salon need a lesson on professionalism. It was the worst $40 I have ever spent in terms of experience. I walked away with wet nails (that are now messed up), an embarrassment for the other patrons and workers, and utter disgust at the business as a whole. I feel so bad for the workers who do a genuinely excellent job because they have nothing to do with the way other people act. With that being said, I will NOT be going back, which I hate because Carmen and Woman A did such a fantastic job."
