About the Business
LumberStash is a store located at 4156 Grand Avenue South in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. The institution was founded on the principle of rescuing good lumber and other materials from renovation and construction dumpsters to prevent them from ending up in landfills. The founders started this initiative after noticing the abundance of quality materials during neighborhood bike rides.
At LumberStash, we save 1-2 TONS of salvaged materials from the landfill every week, including lumber from old fences and decks. We aim to make salvaging and selling materials from home a popular way to earn extra income. We are looking to expand our network of good people who have a truck or trailer and temporary storage space for salvaged materials.
Our services include deconstruction or pickup of materials such as flooring, windows, doors, mechanicals, appliances, and cabinets. We prioritize salvaging the best materials while keeping everyone on schedule. We also offer quotes for deconstruction services upon request.
If you are interested in joining our network or need assistance with salvaging materials, feel free to reach out to LumberStash. We make requirements for deconstruction grants easy and strive to promote sustainable practices in the construction industry.

"My first experience with Lumberstash was getting some redwood cedar for rebuilding my deck. I bought both four by fours and two by fours, and it couldn’t have gotten any easier and I couldn’t have found any better value than I did with these guys. I’m so happy I found them! And I love the fact that they are saving good quality lumber from going to a landfill."
"Jeremy found the cedar foundation boards and the decking for a small backyard project for me. At a time when lumber prices are so high, I was thrilled to be able to complete this on a modest budget and reduce waste in the landfill as well. I’m a beginning builder, and the boards were straight and free of nails, which I needed. Jeremy is very responsive and helpful. I’m dreaming of my next reuse project already. Thank you, Jeremy!"
"Jeremy is passionate about he does! He connected me with Dave Hamer, who built us a coffee table out of reclaimed lumber. It is beautiful and we absolutely love it! It makes me happy to know that this wood lived another life before becoming our little table."
"Jeremy snagged some old cedar fencing planks that we repurposed for the exterior of our garage sauna. It turned out great! Really happy with the weathered look and character of the wood, the bargain price (have you priced new cedar lately — easily 10x more expensive), and the personalized help we got from Jeremy every step of the way. If you haven’t worked with him yet, you’re in for a treat! For overall value for the $, design creativity and resourcefulness, and good-natured drive to spare quality lumber from needlessly rotting in a landfill, I recommend LumberStash highly."
"I was able to build a tree house/platform with wood from LumberStash for a fraction of the price it would have cost with new wood. Reusing wood that would have gone to the landfill was very satisfying and a great way to show my kids the value of repurposing materials. Greatly appreciate the service Jeremy is providing!"
