"Carl helped me jumpstart my battery in the front of the store parking lot and then I drove around so they could test the battery in the auto center. Carl was extremely personable and helpful. Additionally, I thought I had a warranty on my battery. Go to AutoZone, warranty had recently expired. I find a battery at Sam’s online. That was a mistake because Sam’s did not install the new battery correctly and my car was dead again that same night. It also took 30 + minutes for them to install when there was no other cars being serviced in the bay area. I told Carl that I would be back if I didn’t get the warranty at AutoZone figured out, and that’s what I should have done. Thank you Carl for your help, next time I’ll request you!"
"On a road trip and needed an oil change. Work was fine, the area is sketchy, I wouldn’t let my car out of my sight, not because of the employees but because of the people haggling around outside the store. I was happy to get back in my car and leave."
"An employee messed up the plastic guard on my front end during an oil change. It was hanging off and scraping the ground due to not being bolted back on correctly. We went back to have him put it back correctly and he began arguing, interrupting us, and being very animated to the point of becoming hostile. He was telling us to calm down but he was the one totally out of breath from screeching and yelling, repeating himself over and over. He was not capable of having a conversation like an adult. He should not be employed here or anywhere for that matter. He did not want to admit he did anything wrong. Mike, the manager, was very apologetic and offered to pay for someone to fix what his employee messed up even though it would take 5 minutes to fix. Be aware-you may end up with the employee who does not do his job correctly and will refuse to fix it."
"Anytime I've gone, it has been for hours. Prepare yourself for other angry customers, underpaid staff, and management that will deny you the help you need. Abandon all hope those that enter! Regular staff is always nice to deal with though, but isn't that the way it always is?"
"The service was good, in that the tech didn’t leave us standing twiddling our thumbs. However, the price I was quoted over the phone turned out to be $100 cheaper than what I wound up paying, the tire tech correctly figured out my mistake in requesting tires, i.e. someone changed the wheel size which although the new tires were within acceptable range/size, it wasn’t optimal for the vehicle). I appreciated his expertise. Their being short-staffed on that particular day put a strain on everybody and I know they hurried every chance they got; it took over two hours to mount four tires on a 2000 Ford Expedition."
