"Shadow Mountain is a beautiful escape from urban environments. It is exceptionally well designed and maintained. Best of all, there is no TV signal here although their WiFi is top notch. The location is a perfect half-way point for visiting my family in Missouri, to break the trip into two fairly easy days rather than one hard one. The peaceful respite in the middle that is Shadow Mountain is most welcome."
"This was an amazing RV park! Everyone was quiet and respectful, faculties are clean. The owners are very nice and personable as well as the other employees we interacted with during our stay. They have it decorated really nice for Christmas so it’s easily seen from the street late at night when we’re driving back in from town. We stayed at the newly constructed premium campsites on the lake and those were really nice spots. WiFi was amazing which is a rare find. We will for sure be back!"
"This is such a nice, quiet, clean and affordable Campground. We had so much fun around Mena we extended our trip 2 times to add on a total of 3 more days and still didn't do everything we wanted to do in Mena. It's a great location to many good swimming spots and trails, all the sites are packed black stone. The owners are super nice. We got in late and Skylar sent me a photo of the Campground with highlighted parts to help us navigate to our spot and said to call her and she would help but the map was great. She also came to talk to us when we were trying to level our camper the next day and offered a different spot if we wanted to change but our spot ended up being perfect. We drove all over mena and the surrounding areas and I didn't see any park I'd choose over Shadow Mountain we will definitely be back in the future! I added some pictures of the local spots we visited. The deer was there at Shadow Mountain our last 2 days."
"The good, bad and the ugly review. The owners or super nice, the camp ground it self is quit but the road noise is bad from log trucks/18 wheelers/jake brakes in the early morning. Maybe some more trees planted would help. Did not bother me much but my wife is a light sleeper. They do have a nice pool but I did not get a chance to use it, maybe next time. They have cabins that or nice. They are doing a lot of work/up grades to he park. The only trash can is up at the front, a little inconvenient, but it works. This is not a comment about the park, just a comment. My wife and I found the locals drive very fast regardless of where they at at. Makes me nervous as a tourist poking around. I Would stay again."
"Owners were nice. She helped us get to our site, we are big and arrived in the dark. Bathrooms were clean. Didn't see the hiking or riding trails because they had construction work in the area so no opinion on that. The proximity to the county road to get to Wolf Pen Gap was nice. It is on our list to return for that area."
