Reviews of Horseshoe Bend Campground
"While the water is nice, the theft is not. We had several items stolen from outside our trailer during the night (135). One neighbor also had items stolen and another neighbor had items rummaged through down by the water. We told the campground attendants and asked them to let others know to bring in their things at night. They said we should file a police report but they wouldn’t advise others to bring in their items. The presence of police is a puffing up of “security” but doesn’t do much good."
"I tent camped at site 78 in an inner loop with electric only sites and no toilets. There are only 2 buildings with showers for the entire campground. I used the west one which had 1 toilet, 1 shower, and 1 ADA shower. I chose odd times to take my shower and didn't have a problem except there's no bench and an inadequate hook. Even though the campground was pretty full the bathroom facility was clean. Horseshoe Bend Campground forbids all changing tents! A ranger make me take down mine. Two nights of my stay were sleepless thamks to screaming children in the tent next door. Lots of shade, sites were well spaced. We found a reasonable path down to the lake for kayaking. The bluffs are lovely and interesting. I will probably return but probably not during peak season. Only 15 minutes from Rogers!"
"I would definitely come back! Only $22/night for the campground we got, and the area was nice. Only a few things that could use some improvement. There's very little lighting outside the bathrooms and showers, so you have to be careful at night so you don't go into the wrong one. Also would be nice if there was a bench to set your fresh change of clothes on."
"Horseshoe bend has a great marina. It is run by adults . They have a place to stop where your boat isn't getting hammered with wave's . A place you can have your lunch in the shade at clean picnic tables. They have beautiful flowers all around the marina."
"We stayed on site 120.... lovely view, but slopes back to front... we needed lots of cribbing to level. Showers were awesome. Bathrooms seemed to be heated on the cool mornings... Contractor kept them clean and well-stocked! Attendants were very courteous."
