Reviews of Glen at Polo Park
"First of all do not believe the 5 star reviews, they are either employees or bribed with gift cards. My wife and I rented here for two years and it was the worst living experience we’ve ever experienced. During our time here we lived in two separate units (I’ll explain why) in our first unit the furnishings were low quality, the faces of the cabinets peeling off as well as the dish washer leaking constantly. One of the worst parts of this first unit was the electric bill, for a one bedroom apartment we had bills up to $350 for a month and the A/C could not keep up, during the summer it was consistently 78-83 degrees no matter what the thermostat was set on. The only “fix” for this was to put in a window unit in the bedroom which was old and had been used in multiple units. For the first year the weight room was practically unusable, every machine was broken including all of the cardio equipment. This was not fixed until the middle of our second year when a new company bought the complex. They also advertised to have two pools but the second pool was out of order for the whole first year. Both pools are tiny, there was never a time you could actually get in the pool because so many kids and drunk parents were taking up the space. This whole complex has no insulation, on Christmas Eve our first apartment building completely flooded due to busted water pipes, it ruined thousands of dollars worth of our belongings that were not reimbursed or any discount on rent. I had just had knee surgery two weeks prior and we were not offered any help to remove what we could salvage from the flooding, we were not even offered to be placed into a hotel. After this we found out this happens almost every year in this complex by a maintenance worker. After a week of being displaced we were finally contacted to be moved into another unit and then had to sign another year lease because they wouldn’t transfer the remaining 3 months left on the previous one. This transfer was a mess because they tried to charge us another deposit to move into the next unit, I was able to dispute it because this was not our fault. The second unit was so much worse than the first and I didn’t even realize that was possible, our neighbors were beyond horrible. The upstairs neighbor could be heard jumping up and down on the floor for long periods of time at any times throughout the night while the downstairs neighbor constantly screamed and smelled like drugs coming through the walls. The cops were called multiple times due to domestic violence issues below us. We complained to the office numerous times and nothing was ever done about it and multiple emails were never responded to. The dog park consistently had so much dog waste in it you couldn’t feel safe letting your dog in it without the risk of disease. None of the pet rules were ever enforced, you couldn’t walk five feet on the grounds without the possibility of stepping in dog poop, multiple people had pit bulls and more than two animals which were against policy. One of the nastiest parts of living here was the trash bins, there are only two on the grounds and the trash compactor was nearest us was out of order for 6 months, so people would stack up trash bags and boxes outside the door piling up and spilling into the street. If you are concerned for safety at all this is not the place for you, none of the facilities lock, non residents showed up and used the basketball gym at all hours of the night because it was unlocked and blasted music and hung out in there cars up front. Lastly this complex was extremely dark at night which also made it not safe, if you were driving by at night you would not know this apartment complex was even there. If you want to have even a decent living experience do not rent here."
"I have nothing but good things to say about this apartment complex in general, but one thing I need to tell y’all about is our maintenance guys, Brandon and Allen.. they are literal angels! I was pulling out of my garage and noticed my car had a flat neither of them hesitated to come to my rescue & help me even though it was quite the task. Thank you both so much for your kindness & going above and beyond. I would recommend Glen at Polo 100 times over."
"Kelsie was incredibly helpful and informative! She was there each step of the tour process as we viewed a couple different units. We appreciated her transparency and honesty. Of all the apartment tours we did this day, this was by far our most favorite tour! With all the through information that she provided, it made our decision that much easier! While this complex was not originally one of our top picks, it definitely is now! We look forward to living here in the future!!"
"I’ve lived here a few weeks now after moving from Memphis and they have gone above and beyond my expectations. Office staff is very friendly, maintenance is always timely, property is well maintained, and rent is actually not insane like many other places. Definitely recommend. You really can’t find anywhere else around here that is so nicely maintained while also being affordable."
"I have called the Glen at Polo home for over 3 years. I love this little gem in a country setting. I rent a one bedroom with attached garage and love the room I have. We have such a kind and caring property manager. Thank You Doris Cook! This lady always has her plate full and since the property has new owners there have been alot of exciting new things going on but she always prevails and gets it organized and done. She truly cares about us residents. The Glen may not be new but they are updated very nicely. The rent is very reasonable and utilities are below what I have paid living in other areas. We have all of the amenities that the other complexes have but at a much cheaper price. The complex is a Win! Win! for me. The grounds are very nice with beautiful trees! You just can't beat country living so this complex is great! I love my patio and the new swimming pool outside my front door. I have found my home so Thank You....Glen at Polo Park"
