"Had oral surgery to remove my wisdom teeth, the treatment pre surgery was great and the procedure went great and no complications so far afterwards. I'm concerned about the lack of professionalism and care for patients. After I woke up I was seated in a wheel chair in the room where I had my procedure and was waiting for my ride. I was very uncomfortable and very thirsty. I had to ask 4 times before I was finally given water. The two assistants that were in the room were to busy trying to order food delivery and playing on their phones to care for me. They even joked the first few times I asked for water and said I was thirsty. They said, "oh yeah you're thirsty, they gave you medicine that'll make your mouth drier than the Sahara desert.." then went back to their phones... I asked again.. "oh you want a drink? There's a pub down the street that has great drinks." I said I can't drink alcohol cause of my medicine and I want water! I had to ask the fourth time before one of them sighed loudly an set her phone down and finally got me a tiny cup of water. I'm very upset how those two treated me and hope this place does better in the future. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!"
"Used to go here for dental work until I started receiving employer sponsored insurance and went private. The “U” ruined several teeth with an extraction. Previous years I had two back molars removed by a private dentist. No problem. Around 2017 I had a back bottom molar removed at this clinic. The students did a terrible and forceful job. I ended up with dry socket and an infection. I was out of town several months later when the adjacent molar became infected. It was extracted by the original dentist who had extracted the first two molars. So I was now missing two adjacent teeth and a year later, the crown next to the missing teeth came out and took half of the tooth with it. The clinic student also did an awful job in creating the partial. I got in with a private dentist with excellent insurance a year later. Still, I lost three good teeth as a result of that first poor extraction. Even though I left several jobs, I carried the Cobra dental insurance to maintain the far better treatment afforded at a private practice with years’ accumulative experience. The dental clinic might be ok for regular cleanings and fillings, but anything else, I would proceed with caution."
"I had broken tooth that got infected really bad and needed to get in immediately, which they were able to get me in the next day! They took a few x-rays, realized how bad it was and went over a few options with me and we decided to pull the tooth and put me on some antibiotics. Everyone there were super compassionate and caring! I suggest going here instead of Community Health since their receptionist is a horrible horrible uncaring monster."
"The students are the only good part of this clinic. They’re caring and patient and I love the fact that we can help further their education. On the other hand.. the staff are very rude and unhelpful. They will hang up on you and/or forward your call without any warning which causes you to get stuck in a loophole of extension numbers, that is IF they actually pick up. Also, no parking and no appointments. I have waited months to be seen for a routine dental check. Anyways, moral of this review is to get a dental degree so you can preform your OWN dental work. Thanks."
"Well the gal I spoke to schedule an appointment for a painful toothache talked me into going somewhere else. I figured since all my dental records are there, I would call this clinic to see if I could schedule an appointment to get this tooth ache that is painful enough that I will need to get it worked on before I end up with an excruciating tooth ache. She confirmed my name, address and phone number. Then she asked if it's okay if they can send me a reminder appointment. She said because I haven't been there since 2020, I will have to be seen as a new patient. Then she proceeded to tell me I have to come in for a cleaning and a routine exam and then they will assign a new student to my case and then I can schedule an appointment to get that tooth fixed. She said the earliest appointment will be at the end of November. I said FOR A TOOTH ACH?! THIS lady apparently doesn't get the concept of urgency when someone has a painful toothache Seriously?! So with all this said I sure don't need to sit there for an extended period of overtime to help the dental students practice their skills on me. I will find a reasonable dental clinic that cares about people who are in pain. Unreal."
