Dr. Michael Alley D.D.S Family Dentistry

"Dr. Alley is a likable fellow and a good dentist. The only problem is his business practices. He insist on being paid upfront before work is done. The amount they want is more than his contract with the insurance allows. So you pay him more than the insurance share plus your share. You get no statement showing services performed. You get a cash register receipt show the amount you paid and the date. After the insurance pays their share, you have to go collect that amount back from Dr. Alley plus any excess you paid. He is the only dentist I've ever known that uses that "business model". Most of them file with your insurance then send you a bill showing date of service, service performed, amount insurance paid and a bill for the remainder. That is a normal dental practice."

"Dr. Alley is absolutely amazing. When I came in for a filling he took his time and told me he’d do one at a time due to anxiety. When it came time to pay for my copay & filling he disregarded it then told me to pay next time. When the tooth with a fill failed and started to decay more- I came in to see if he can get me temporary relief until I got to the Oral Surgeon. He didn’t charge me for nothing since the fill he did will be getting pulled and my copay can be paid at the Oral Surgeon. I highly recommend this dentist. The staff is awesome & supportive."

"Dr. Alley is a great cosmetic dentist. His staff are always nice and professional. He has done great work for me over the years; however; I now have had to return several times to get the crowns he put in re-cemented. I also have trouble getting ahold of his office, even during his normal office hours. There is no answering machine to leave a message either. He only works Monday-Thursday and every time there is a holiday his work week is shortened that much more. This is not comforting when I have a dental emergency. Overall, Dr. Alley does great work, but I wouldn't count on him in times of emergencies due to the lack of accessibility."
