"FULL REVIEW!! -1st time going -Went in on a Wednesday night about 45 mins to them closing.So most know the assumption of what the food may have been or how the service could have been. - upon entering we were very surprised how how nice and clean the place was. Great lighting, and decor everywhere. Had a upscale feel for sure with the slight smell of a pit smoker in the back. -the server was a very nice young lady who made some great recommendations. This is where this places send the bar really high... -started with Banana pudding. (Don't judge lol). Tasted amazing. Had a thinker than usual cookie/nilla wafer layer than I am.used to. It was great solid 9.5 out of 10. - I ordered the fried chicken, sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese and corn bread. -- Cornbread- hard pass. Feel like it was not the freshest peice that had. No biggie tho. --sweet potatos- chucked fresh sweet taters cooked perfectly and in a bowl with some surgery glaze. 7/10. Wish the sauce was a bit thicker. It was good for sure -- Mac and Cheese. 9/10. It was just about perfect. Only gave it a 9 because I wanted more. -- Fried Chicken-- if you had made it this far in the review then congrats. When I say this fried chicken was the best I have ever had I am not exaggerating. Came with one huge breast, thigh and a drum stick. Each and every bite was better than the last. The batter and skin could not have been better IMO. Truly legendary. 20 out of 10!! If you have not tried themI highly encourage you to do so. I hope your visit is a great as mine was. We will be back for sure."

"Very limited menu. Took an hour for us to get our food. I didn't care for the fried shrimp (way too much cayenne for my tastes). Our server was very attentive and professional, but I was served a side of potato salad when I ordered slaw. Overall I probably wouldn't return. The food just wasn't that good."
