"TLDR: Never ever ever, under any circumstances, go to Boynton dental. They have cause irreparable harm to my teeth and establish a new fear of dentists in me. I had heard horror stories about this place from other graduate students, but because I am on the graduate health plan this was the only option (graduate student healthcare doesn't include dental insurance-- instead they directly contract with Boynton). I feel so foolish for trusting these dentists. First, I needed a crown replaced on a tooth. Instead of replacing the crown, they removed the tooth and never made plans to follow up with any sort of solution for how to replace the missing tooth. As I stayed up that night due to blood gushing out of my open wound 4-7 hours after the "extraction," I began to worry about Boynton's standards for care. Since then I have had 5 fillings. My previous dentist, who I had seen 3 months prior to switching to Boynton, had said that I didn't have any cavities. The first one I was warned could be deep. After a terrifying drilling session, I was informed that I might need a crown on that tooth. Okay. The next two were much less impacted. Still, over 50% of my tooth was removed. I was told that I might need a crown on both of them. The last two were very shallow and superficial refilings. I told the dentist about my worries that she would drill away a significant amount of my teeth and I said directly that my insurance wouldn't cover crowns for all of the teeth she had previously removed most of. Guess what? The superficial cavities resulted in her removing 50% of my tooth structure and she suggested crowns. I can understand how my previous dentist could miss a few small cavities, but it is a huge red flag that I went from having healthy teeth to needing FIVE CROWNS. I went from no pain and being able to eat anything I want to intense pain and worry and only being able to eat a limited diet of very chewable foods. I cannot overstate how disappointed I am in the dentists at Boynton dental health for harming me-- and myself for trusting them. Do yourself a favor and avoid them for anything beyond a cleaning or an absolute emergency."

"Extremely poor experience. The dentists are all very good, but because the staff made mistakes in their work and got the insurance claims wrong, they never solved the problem. The answer is always "I am supporting you and I will help you". Every time the staff proposes a deadline and promises to update me before then, but never fulfills the promise. Their work attitude is so disappointing that they do nothing but procrastinate and inaction."
