"I am shocked by the number of reviews championing the integrity of this shop, when my experience was anything but honest. I hoped to purchase a Subaru Outback from Diamond Auto Group, and I wanted a mechanic's opinion first. Brett at Diamond Auto called EZ Auto Repair up and got the vehicle in for an inspection. The EZ Auto tech called me when it was complete, told me the vehicle was in great condition and he'd easily buy it for his daughter, implying it was trustworthy. No other notes. He was too positive and fast-talking for me not to get a gut feeling he was in the pocket of Diamond Auto, especially since I'd just driven the car and heard suspension noises, and because I'm not dumb enough to believe an Outback at 160k miles is mechanically spotless. I insisted that I needed to take the Outback to my trusted Minneapolis mechanic, putting a down payment on the car to do so. There, I was told that I'd face $5000-7000 in repairs: the back break was being held together with ZIP TIES, the suspension was original and 60k miles past its life, the tires were down to 4/32, and more. It doesn't matter that I didn't buy the Outback. What matters is the scummy, terrible service and incomplete inspection I received at EZ Auto. Take your car up the road to Home Town Auto in Lakeville instead."
