Uptown Pizza

"I turned up for a slice around 12:15 on a Monday. I saw a sign out front offering a lunch combo for $6.50. Sure enough, you can get a slice, 4 garlic knots, and a 12-oz. soda can for $6.50 here. The knots have a great texture and are seasoned with a subtly garlicky butter sauce. The pizza slice is generous, NY style, foldable. The cheese-sauce-crust ratio is delicately balanced. I'll be back soon for a party of pies."

"Very rude staff I feel sorry for the employees, if they got treated better they would make better food. Ordered a pizza slice, knots and can of soda last night it took nearly 10 minutes to get my slice and it was cold and gross.There was 3 employees there yet the cook had to do almost everything.Nasty place just like soho cafe.Go here for a slice if you wanna get sick .Pizza was cold the warmer looks like it's 20+ years old get a new one or do a better job at having fresh pizza slices like Luce a few blocks away.You should be ashamed of yourself. Just as bad as soho cafe And yes the pizza made me sick and I have proof of purchase. It's okay to stand out but being gross all the way around... just stop it now"

"I ordered a magnum large pepperoni pizza from Uptown Pizza. The sauce is pretty good with a little bit of spice, it was very light on cheese compared to the the last time I ordered and my pizza was overcooked. I was too exhausted to call the store or I would’ve had them remade the pizza When I showed up, I waited half an hour for my Pizza, the manager was very pleasant and kind and offered me a water while I waited, the staff is friendly and the environment is pleasant. A firetruck pulled up and a fireman came in and hauled off a ton of pizzas so it must be a decent place to eat. The reason for the low score is the pizza was overdone, very little cheese and the wait time was quite a bit, I understand it’s a Friday night but when you’re tired and exhausted and your pizzas overcooked and it takes longer it just makes for a bad experience Overall, I think they’re a good group of people"

"So, I ate a few pieces before I posted. This is some of the best pizza around the Lake Street area. There are no tables in the restaurant, but there are plenty of shops in the area to check out while you wait for your pizza to get done. It's worth the wait, and it tastes great! It's also reasonably priced, and the service is nice. Get a little grab and go."
