"Went in for coffee, the atmosphere was great. Ordered 2 lattes: churo and salted caramel. Both of them had absolutely no flavor. Asked one of the server if they can add some more flavor and they were kind enough. (Also, told us it was strictly an Italian style latte where they put very less flavoring, which was very odd, maybe don't market the latte as a winter special, just say plain latte?) Even after adding some caramel drizzle the lattes were mediocre. I couldn't drink mine because the espresso tasted very diluted and water downed. I was thinking maybe it was because of almond milk but this has never happened at other cafes while getting an almond milk latte. The latte was 7$ so i couldn’t justify spending 7$ for mediocrity. Asked the server if I could substitute for a drip coffee and they did. I was happy that they did but this didn't end there. While this was happening 2 server and a manager got involved. The manager made some comment like “we are not starbucks, we will refund your money”. I never wanted a refund and the comment felt very condescending because first of all: assuming everyone drinks Starbucks is a very dumb mindset, given that twin cities have hundreds of great cafes. Second of all, why are some customers service providers so scared of receiving feedbacks? Not all feedbacks are a brick thrown towards businesses with an intend of malice. It can be given/taken in a healthy manner. The manager went overboard by making another latte and making it extra sweet (we didnt ask for) . I don’t know if he was trying to prove a point but we had already settled saying we were happy that I got a drip coffee as a substitution. Also why are you assuming the customers have zero coffee knowledge? So anyway, please be open to receiving feedbacks and QC accordingly. Some situations really don’t need to be escalated this far!"

"The Lobby in downtown Excelsior is the quintessential coffee shop with a charming ambiance, perfectly made coffee drinks, and delicious pastries! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit this morning! The Lobby was packed and the order line was long. Nevertheless, I’m already planning to return on a non-holiday weekend morning."

"Update 12/10/23: really disappointed after my most recent visit. Our cappuccino’s were watery with no foam! The $6 pastries were also dried out and flavorless. It seems like quality control is missing. I’ll take a break from visiting. My new favorite coffee shop in the area! Great coffee and tea selection, and the pastries are delicious. I’ve been in twice now and highly recommend."

"Amazing coffee, very tasteful interior design, and intentional attention to details. I went out of my way to visit this coffee shop while visiting the area as the reviews and photos looked amazing. It definitely delivered and exceeded my expectations! Their drip coffee was extremely delicious with attention to detail in how it is served to the customer. Very friendly and hospitable service. And a very tastefully designed interior atmosphere made the vibe conducive towards being both relaxed and very productive. It does get busy as it is a very popular spot so make sure to arrive earlier in the day if you can to get a good seat!"
