"I recently attended a conference in Fargo, and was determined to find something good food while I was here. I’m please to report this trifecta passed with flying colors: Maxwell’s delivered on a beautifully executed elk tenderloin, although I would’ve much rather have had one cut of meat instead of three. That said, each piece was cooked to medium rare. Wine list was impressive but approachable. Blackbird’s service was fun, the vinaigrette half salad delightful (although huge pieces of spring greens make for awkward eating), and the Hot Chica pizza was on the money. Had a great local IPA and glass of house cabernet. Finally, Prairie Kitchen made me wish I had more time to order a full meal. The old fashioned was deliciously subtle, and the lefse platter smacked of sweet nostalgia in the best way possible."

"So good! We celebrated my uncle's 80th birthday. The food was good. I had the stroganoff . The meat melted in your mouth. I would have liked a little more sauce. But it was still delicious. My husband had the hot dish. He loved it. The Apps and service were even better! Loved the non alcoholic drink options!"

"My husband, 17yo daughter and I all agree our experience here was outstanding, start to finish - and we are not restaurant novices, as an understatement. I’m gluten-free, and I was blown away by all the gf options. The cheese curds, which are gluten-free, were honestly the best I’ve ever had, and my (non-gf) family agreed. As were the gruyère fries. For entrées, we got the bison tenderloin (amazing, tender, juice, so flavorful), the salmon (that perfect combo of crispy on the outside and buttery on the inside), and the tenderloin (HUGE, tender and delicious). I had a French 75 cocktail, my husband had the Lingonberry sour, my daughter had one of the mocktails, and they were all just perfect. The server was spot on with every part of the meal, the timing of the food was exactly right - honestly, I couldn’t invent a problem if I wanted to. We visit Fargo 1-2 times per year, and unless we have a totally different experience next time, we will make sure to prioritize this restaurant every time we are here."

"Went for brunch on a Saturday morning. It was not busy and we had a reservation. The staff was friendly but it took 20 minutes to get drinks. Lovely atmosphere great unique menu and overall kind engaged staff. I got the breakfast brisket hash. The egg was perfectly runny. The brisket was tender and perfectly seasoned. My only complaint about the meal was that the hash was slightly under done."
