Sunset Ridge Day Use Area

"This day use area was pretty meh compared to the other day parking lots in Lake Pleasant Regional Park. There are no restrooms or water fountains up here. It's basically just a narrow stretch of sandy road with picnic ramadas on either side; each ramada has a table underneath. You access this by going up a concrete side road that winds up and then turns into the sandy road. As you drive up said sandy road., you will notice the road can barely fit two cars going side by side in opposite directions; being on the right side as you drive up can be a little unnerving due to no safety rails. The other downside is there is no place to actually park your car, although you could just parallel park it in between the ramadas... I tried going forward and the small sandy road just deadends from where you can just turn your car around. The only nice thing is from the ramadas- since they are so high up- you can get a nice breeze going and you can see a birds-eye view of Lake Pleasant."

"Had a great time with the family today. Hung out by the water for a bit then moved to a covered pavilion to have lunch in the shade enjoying a gorgeous breeze. We will come back."
