Coronado Cave Trail Hereford, AZ 85615

"The trail is almost entirely uphill, I wanna say it's about 1/2 mile. There is a bench halfway up to the cave, I would suggest a hiking stick/pole, water, and sunscreen while heading up. This is NOT a dog friendly hike. The cave is a lot of fun. There is a small tunnel that you can crawl down. It goes back a bit. For this, I would suggest a helmet, headlamp, knee pads, if you have them, and some sort of mask, or handkerchief. The dirt is really fine, you will be inhaling this. Again, so much fun! Also, the ladies at the visitor center were very friendly."

"We have taken our kids here before as well as hiked these mountain a few times. Park rangers here are absolutely the best. Not a Tom of camp site spots. Be mindful that your network to your phone will think you are in Mexico. Soooo, either purchase the international plan, or put your phone away and enjoy the nature as it was meant to be enjoyed. The trail to the cave is about 2 miles. As always it's still the wild, so be mindful of snakes, bears, & coyotes."

"This trail is fairly easy but a decent amount of steps and elevation gain. Not super long. Maybe 1/2 mile but it is almost all up hill. There is a bench to rest at at about half way point. Great scenery. Recommended! This takes u to an awesome cave to explore. Well worth ur time."

"This is a really awesome trail. It is one half mile up 500 vertical feet. It is very sunny there is no shade in the middle of the day at all till you get to the top. It is really nice hiking a fairly easy hike but still kind of uphill lots of photo ops. The last part of the trail is all steps the most beautiful part with trees hanging over the steps really really beautiful steps all made out of stone right up to the cave. The cave is awesome bring flashlights. The cave is very primitive however I enjoyed immensely."
