"A great hike, lots of great views but a bit confusing to drive into"
"Google maps has the last leg of the directions wrong. At the end of the farmland, when it says to take a slight right onto a narrow road on a dike, stay straight instead. Shortly, you'll see a no trespassing sign. Go to the right of that and a road will take you around the fenced area and on to the two parking areas. You can park in the first parking area, where you'll see the kiosk, but most folks go beyond that to the second parking area. All but the extremely low clearance cars make it fine, if you steer so that you don't straddle the high spots. The car in the photo I attached made it ok. No toilets of any kind here."
"Rugged, with deep washes, expansive views, plenty of up and down, and up up. Wear good hiking boots, and start early as there isn't much shade, except in the deep wash on the west side of the peak. Beautiful."
"Excellent loop hike! Easily accessible trailhead parking. I would say it is a moderate hike, some good hill climbs, areas of rocks, sometimes boulders and sandy type footing in the dry arroyo beds. After you walk up the dry creek bed it opens up a bit and you can go to the right or left. To the right is the kiosk that has a great map to screen shot. If you keep in mind that the trail goes around Muggins Peak it will help you stay on the main trail. You definitely want good hiking shoes and plenty of water. Pretty views!"
