"Being an old guy with two hip replacements, bad knees and sore feet, I rated this moderate due to loose debris and steep steps to get started. Lots of uneven surfaces and debris from river flow piled up. That being said, walking along a river in the country cannot be beat."
"Pros: Right off the freeway Only cost 2.00 Only two other cars there Great parking Bathroom and water access Hiking along a river so dogs can cook off and drink frequently. Cons: Trail is not clearly marked. For being new to this trail, I spent a lot of time backtracking because I went the wrong way. Lots of signs broken down and missing. Last part of the hike is marked with white ties in the trees and some Kearns. Very overrun trail from floodings. Bring good shoes! There is no “ah-ha this is end!” Or “wow look at what we just hiked to!” You literally just see the freeway with all the traffic You can hear the freeway the whole time except when right next to the river."
"Beautiful and breezy place to hike. I have bad knees and I was able to get up and down the mountain easily"
"Extremely clean public restrooms with running water. Pavillion shaded picnic table area. Blacktop pull thru ca.ping for larger campers and plenty of tent camping sites. $8/night for camping and $2 for day use. Dog friendly. Enjoy your time and live life."
"What a beautiful place is one of my favorite parts of the I-15 corridor! This trail has some great views of the Virgin River combined with dozens and dozens of Joshua trees! I would suggest visiting in the Fall as it could be a bit too hot in the summer. Definitely worth stopping by for a picnic or whatever whilst on your way to or from Las Vegas."
