"I have fostered two sets of bonded cats from LOH. I loved both pairs so much! They are tough to give back, but know you are giving them a warm, safe, and loving home so their human parents can find suitable living spaces in order to live as a family once more. As a foster parent, you are doing a selfless act for these precious pets in need. LOH is a special place! They have a friendly staff with so much love in their hearts for these animals. It's a great place to adopt or foster a fur baby."
"They made the process of adopting Kirby really easy. Very friendly and patient staff considering he is a very shy dog. We love him so much, he’s been the best boy."
"After raising guide dogs for the blind I had gotten used to having a furry companion around, when I finished my last dog, I was incredibly lonely and looking for something to love. I had been stalking the website for months thinking I would never be in a place to be a home to a new animal in the near future, though on a whim, I visited the shelter to see there adoptable cats. So so many cats caught my eye and were all very loving, though the wonderful front desk worker offered to show me the kittens in the back, and that is where I met my Oona. Her and her sister were the last of their litter and some part of me knew I couldn’t separate them. I asked my roommate if she also wanted to adopt a cat and after a brief visit for the second time that day, we left with Fish and Vinegar (now Oona and Nina). They have been hands down the best decision we have made in our lives thus far. They are incredibly loving and lively cats, and the reason I’m always excited to walk through my front door. Lost Our Home provided us with extensive veterinary care prior to their adoption and even were able to transfer their microchip information to ours instantly! They also gave us each a bag of litter and food as well as coupon for an additional vet checkup. They even allowed us to write their names under the adoptions of the month! I simply could not recommend this shelter more, these animals are loved immensely upon intake and you can see it. Also if your looking for a cat, I will personally vouch that two kittens are easier than one! They provide each other stimulation and an overall companion. I think Oona’s adjustment would’ve actually been harder, in every way, if she didn’t have her sister."
"My daughter was begging for a kitten for months, so I looked into adoption and came across Lost Our Home and the experience was so friendly and helpful. We were able to spend time with the other cats and got to spend time with the kitten of our choice in a private room getting to know the kitten. We were able to make bring home Trinity and she has been very playful and cuddly."
"Wonderful rescue organization that I volunteer for including fostering dogs. Everyone is friendly and caring and the animals are very well cared for. I love the purpose of this organization and the work that it does to help ensure pets and families can stay together whenever possible. Shelter is very clean and does not smell like a typical animal shelter. I highly recommend this organization if you are looking for a new furry family member."
