"I regret to say that my experience with Desert Financial Credit Union located at 5140 W Baseline Rd, Laveen Village, AZ 85339, was nothing short of disappointing. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was met with incompetence and an utter lack of customer service. The incident that truly epitomizes my negative experience occurred when I attempted to cash a check. I had a check with the exact same description as one they had previously cashed, yet both the female staff and the female manager flat-out refused to accommodate me. What's even more perplexing is that when I spoke to a male staff member, he confirmed that they had indeed cashed such checks before. This blatant discrepancy in treatment based on gender is not only unacceptable but also deeply concerning. Furthermore, beyond this specific incident, there are several other reasons why I would strongly advise against banking with Desert Financial Credit Union. Firstly, their customer service is abysmal. Not only did I encounter unhelpful and dismissive staff members, but there also seems to be a pervasive lack of training and communication among the team. Secondly, their fees and rates are exorbitant. I was shocked by the hidden fees and high interest rates associated with even the most basic services. It's clear that Desert Financial Credit Union prioritizes profit over the well-being of its customers. Additionally, the online banking experience offered by Desert Financial Credit Union is subpar at best. The website is outdated and clunky, making it difficult to navigate and perform simple tasks. In today's digital age, a bank's online platform is crucial, and Desert Financial Credit Union falls short in this regard. Overall, my experience with Desert Financial Credit Union was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. From gender discrimination to poor customer service and unreasonable fees, there are far better options available for banking. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for your financial needs."
