"Read the negative reviews about this company! (I wish I had googled them before they came out). Protech Appliance Repair Inc. was sent out by our home warranty (Old Republic). A husband wife team showed up, I greeted Debbie and began to explain the issue I was having with my oven temperature fluctuating, but before I could even get the first sentence out of my mouth, she interrupted me. She was quick to speak and didn't listen to me at all. I tried again to explain what was going on but this treatment only continued. She was very harsh and rude. Her husband remained silent the entire visit. The problem I'm experiencing happens when the oven is in use during cooking going towards an hour, but Debbie said if the issue didn't show up on her diagnosis machine right away then the oven is fine. She also said she cannot touch an oven already heated. So there was no way for me to recreate the problem. Convenient catch 22, however even if that wasn't a policy, I would never allow this company back into our home! I am shocked that this company is still in business."
"Reposting my Yelp post here. We recently purchased a home that came with a home appliance warranty. Our trash compactor was not working so I called Old Republic Home Warranty and they dispatched Protech Appliance Repair. 2 people showed up from the company; a man and a woman. They took a look and decided that the trash compactor could never have been working when the home warranty was purchased so it is not covered. Ok fine. I've had items be not covered before. It happens. The problem is the woman was so unprofessional and rude. She had no customer service skills at all. Her demeanor was very mean and curt. If I ever have an issue with anything in my home, I will not let this company set foot in my house. I will request another company or find someone else. Why are people in the customer service business if they do not have the decency to interact professionally with others. The man that was with her could not get a word in without her interupting. I've owned homes for over 20 years in this state and others. I've always had a home appliance warranty. I've never met someone so unprofessional and outright belligerent. Save yourself some headache and find someone else. The thing is, they are an appliance repair company. If the item is not covered, they can still fix it and charge me the price it would cost to repair it out of pocket. Business 101. She seemed to forget that I am the customer, not the home warranty company. On the plus side, I called another company who was kind enough to advise me on what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Then I paid them to fix it even though it wasn't covered by Home Warranty. So all is well with my appliance."
"Protech Appliance was called by 2-10 Home Warranty company to repair the built-in microwave and oven. Debbie, the technician called me at 7:30 in the evening to acknowledge the repair request and schedule a time for the following day. She followed up the next morning to confirm the time and called 30 minutes before arriving. She quickly diagnosed the problem and communicated with 2-10 Home Warranty for resolution. Exceptionally pleased with 2-10 and Debbie from Protech. Communication, professionalism and promptness were outstanding!"
"I called my home warranty company to just do a maintenance check on a few appliances along with a refrigerator which is awkwardly fluctuating in temperatures. I put the request in Monday evening. I was told 24 hours so I didn’t bother worrying too much since it was so late Monday evening. However by Wednesday I hadn’t heard anything back so I called this company to check status on my request. I didn’t get an answer so I left a msg and requested a call back. I got a call late that evening, provided what I needed. I was greeted by Debbie. She muuuust hate what she does because she was beyond disrespectful and rude. She stated that she wasn’t going to be able to service all my appliances as it wouldn’t work with their schedule. I advised her my home warranty allows it so they should do so. She said she never received the request from my warranty company so she asked me to request them to resend it. I called my home warranty company and explained what she had told me. They clarified on the other line while I waited and they advised me pro-tech would service all my appliances and if I had any further issues to call them back. Long story short, I called my warranty back because I still haven’t heard back from the appliance company. I called my home warranty and requesting a new appliance company."
"Horrific experience with this company they came out on behalf of our home warranty program Old Republic. Our ice machine was making about 10 pieces of ice in a day they came out, a boy that looked like he was 15 years old came and said the refrigerator needed a new filter I specifically asked him if I order it or if they would and he said he would order it and call me when it came in and that he would be back out to replace it. 1 month past I called them and now this lady is saying that the filters are not covered. She said they boy knows that the filters are not covered. So he purposely lied to me."
