Reviews
"Great pricing and fixed my PC when other PC repair shop couldn't. Very happy and will continue to use them in the future."
"I recently had my PC compromised, in a full panic gave Eric a call, and he agreed to stop what he was working on and help me out. He is very knowledgable, with17 years as a technician with a local company, and it shows! He is easy to talk with, (doesn't talk over your head), and is reasonable with his prices. He has earned my patronage, and I highly recommend him to everyone."
"I am seeing a few issues with Rob L's review. Number 1: The computer is 7 years old. It probably wasn't even worth putting a new video card in being the age. Number 2: He accused the fan on the cpu as being the issue. After he replaced it, he noticed that it was the power supply, not the techs fault, he did what the customer asked him to do Number 3: The power supply fan was the culprit. How old was the psu? 1 to 2 years old. The fan life an be shortened with improper care. If dust builds up it puts extra stress on the fan, causing premature failure. Before making conclusions that they will sell you anything, take some time and learn to correctly troubleshoot issues instead of asking to buy things you dont need. Ktek is not at fault here. After all, the customer is right."
"I have been taking my computor problems to K-tek for over 10 yars. They have been most helpful and reasonable in price when repairs have been needed. I have not even thought of Staples or any other repair shop. I trust them to be thourough and not talk me into things I don't need. Ben Stradling"
"I have owned my desktop computer for about seven years now. I wanted to upgrade the video card for it and after I purchased the best one that I could find for my system I realized that I needed to supply it with some power. The power supply I had didn't have enough connections to supply my new card so I went to K-Tech to find a solution. I explained to them what I needed and they sold me a new power supply. After I installed it and started connecting all of my hardware I realized that I still didn't have enough connectors to supply all of the hardware with power so I left the floppy drive disconnected and decided to call it good. Now recently I have been hearing disturbing sounds from my machine so I thought it would be a good idea to replace the CPU fan as it seemed to be the most likely cause of the noise. Again I went to K-Tech with my CPU fan in hand and told the guy there I wanted to buy a replacement. He examined what I had brought in and went to the shelf. He came back with the entire unit that the fan is mounted to, looked at me and asked "will this work"? So again, I told him I only wanted the fan. He then came back with just a fan and I purchased it. After I installed it, the noise was still present. So I looked and listened a little closer only to discover that the noise was coming from the fan that is on the power supply that they sold to me less than two years earlier. I have come to the conclusion that they are willing to sell me anything and everything I don't want or need as long as I am dumb enough to walk through their doors. I will never return to K-tech again. Rip me off once, shame on them... rip me off twice, shame on me... Never Again!"
