"This story serves as a warning to anyone considering banking with First Bank. A hard-working individual, who also happens to be an Iraqi military veteran, deposited a $38k insurance check at the bank. They were repeatedly promised that the check would clear by Monday but were met with resistance when they arrived to collect their funds. The bank laughed at them and refused to authorize the funds. Eventually, the check was verified but was placed back on hold within an hour. After multiple attempts to reach out to the bank's toll-free number, the victim was forced to contact the insurance company to confirm the check's verification. The bank then closed two of their accounts, shut down their Zell account, and held their funds hostage for an additional 10 days. This behavior is unacceptable, and it is crucial to not profile individuals based on their skin color. It's important to be wary of banks with a reputation for such behavior and to exercise caution when considering doing business with them."

"I have been with 1st bank since 1994, when i moved to Colorado from Phoenix. 1st bank has always been great with customer service. Fees for various accounts are competitive , and the branches are always very clean. If i had one minor compliant it would be that customer service is too good at times. Let me explain. Every time i go into a branch, every employee gives me shout out "hello" ! I love it in one way, but feel its to contrived. Either they all watched that famous Seinfeld episode involving one of its characters at a bank, or the big shots are pounding into the heads of employees about greetings for inside patrons. Either way, its a little amusing. If one does not believe me, go inside a branch and watch what happens."

"The personal.attention i get when I walk into FirstBank is refreshing and appreciated. They know my name and care enough about my business for frequent it themselves. No that is what I call a partnership. Try to get that from the big bank who forces me to go online to talk to some one. I would move your money too, unless you like to feel unimportant like i did."

"If I could give it a zero I would. This bank drew me in with their free 300 dollars but I should know nothing is free. I have been charged unneccessary overdraft fees and they will not give it back. They will get that free money back nk one way or another. I will be closing my account on the 15th and opened another one. I suggest you do the same. If it hasn't happened it will.
