"I want to be real here with people. If you're old and rich, this is the bank for you, if you're in your 20s 30s or 40s probably not so much. I thought by going to a credit union I would have more personalized service, and that's probably true if you're retired, they have ZERO help on the weekends over the phone, if your card is stolen, fradulant bank charge, anything where you need to talk to someone outside of business hours, this is not your bank. I was looking into a home equity loan, got the inital person, but after they took all my info, never heard back. The tellers at the actual bank, they're average, not much nicer than a wells fargo or chase teller so not sure what this personalized awesome service I was told about is? Basically, all their employees at Desert Financial have the same, limited powers as any other bank, maybe they're nicer at some branches, I don't know but they pretty much treat you like any other bank but with limited hours of operation and limited employees. Chase will give you a $50 grace on NSF and will not charge you until the next business day, which their business day closes at 8pm/ You have until 8pm to resolve any issue, not true with Desert Financial. They are SO QUICK to charge an NSF so watch that, even on a weekend, pending charge, they got their money so you watch that. This bank is not for anyone on the edge, if you're living paycheck to paycheck, not your bank. No mercy here. There's no calls back unless you're the PERFECT credit, perfect fat bank account balance. Probably true with any bank right? But at least other banks have the grace to let you slide when you're not. I've been with Chase for 17 years, and DF for about 3 years, I'll be going back to Chase and staying there."
"My wife and I are new to the area and Sonia made us feel like we were very welcome to be here. Excellent customer service and very professional."
"Daylene makes my banking experience so uncomfortable every time. When I go to cash my check, she is the ONLY one who doesn't let me cash the whole thing. It is ridiculous. And the fact that she says once I deposit it more then I will be able to take out more right away is CRAZY. I've been cahsing my check for almost a year so it should tell by now that it's not a bad check. I am literally looking into new banks as I am writing this."
"My wife has been with Desert Financial for 17 years. I've been with them for ~12. I have never enjoyed their clunky online banking but anytime we had to go into the bank it was a decent experience (Goodyear location). We've been going to this location for just shy of 2 years now and its been terrible from the start but today was the last straw. I needed help transferring money to an external account and the teller I was working with refused to help me saying they were too busy (3 people in line behind me) and that she was the only front end teller (both other bankers supporting with the line) so she couldn't do it. I had already mentioned a few times how urgent the issue was and the teller decided to assume she knew my schedule and availability and provide "advice" that simply escalated the situation. Bottom line - this branch location is a joke. They have never cared about truly supporting their clients needs and when presented with an opportunity to really impact my day positively wound up doing the worst possible job and refused to help me and referred me to the 800 number. You couldn't have written it any bigger that you don't value me and my wife as a customer and after today we'll happily be taking our nearly 2 decades of business elsewhere."
"Our family has been long time members of Desert Financial and have always been pleased with the service (the location in Fry's Marketplace). We inquired about a small auto loan for our daughter to experience this process and Connie H. was so helpful and she took the opportunity to educate our daughter on some life skills along the way. She was kind and courteous and kept the process running smoothly from the application to the closing. Thank you Connie for making this a pleasant experience for our family. Highly recommend!!"
