Rio Salado College - Southern Location

"I’m really disappointed with the experience I had today. From their website, I gave my information to set up an appointment so I can learn more about their ged prep program. I wanted to learn about the program, the hours I would have to commit to, and what my options are with my specific circumstances. This experience, was not that. I waited for 40 minutes to be called up and it was just for me to decide what time block I want to take the class, to register me. I expected it to be a conversation with an advisor of some sort, since they don’t even post the time block or hours it’ll take for the class online. The woman who worked up front spoke broken English, so it was hard to understand or even want to ask questions. I wanted some guidance and opportunity to discuss my next steps, since I planned on attending Rio Solado after receiving my ged. Not to be shuffled in like cattle, given no information and asked to pick a class time. After this, I have no desire to get my ged and take community college classes. I struggle with autism and adhd, and apparently the educational system does not care the student's. Only care enough to ask for ID and payment. No thanks."

"Let me tell you guys this , for the GED classes , the instructors show great support , they want to see you stride for success. But , some of these teachers hardly know English and it is hard to understand them sometimes , it’s kind of unfortunate when you’re trying to learn specific information to pass the GED and it’s hard to understand the instructor it should not be hard to understand an instructor. But they are a great teachers don’t get me wrong, now just like of the other comments The front office people hardly ever know anything to be honest sometimes they are worthless."

"Great adult education program if you can find the place. Don't call for info just come in and ask your questions in person. The people who are supposed to answer the phone never know anything.. if they even answer.. the first time I tried to call for for details about the program thay couldn't even tell me how to find the place.. I'M surprised that they can find thare way to work every day... and don't leave a message thay never call back.."

"great school to learn English but the point for me that I find negative is to be forced to go on a website at least two hours a week to learn English, I really do not like using a website to work my English, I prefer to work with a happy teacher than on 5 hours it is only 1 hour."
