"Dr Luo has been our primary Dr for 5 years. He is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, trustworthy and a good listener. He also takes time to share his sense of humor! To us, he represents what medicine can and should be. We are grateful to have found such a wonderful doctor. We love him and his staff."
"Dr. Luo is a nice man. He is an average doctor who can help you with basic symptoms and suggest referrals. I have been with him for numerous years and never had any health issues out of the ordinary. His office staff is a whole different story. They are unorganized and, in my opinion, really affect Dr. Luo's practice. I have put up with this many years because it was more frustrating to me than harmful. Plus, I was comfortable and did not want to search out a new doctor. That all changed when my wife and I contracted COVID 19. I called the office the day I had a positive result and told the staff that I was positive for COVID 19. I wanted to see Dr. Luo as soon as I could. The office staff told me they were scheduling out a week and a half. I told them I had COVID and really needed to talk to him. They would not schedule sooner to speak with him. I had to wait a week and a half! My wife also tested positive the next day and she could not talk to Dr. Luo either. When the day of our virtual appointment finally came, Dr. Luo had no idea we were getting together to talk about COVID. He first asked me about my bloodwork! I told him I didn't have bloodwork done for this visit, it was because we have COVID 19. He then scolded us for waiting this long to talk with him about our positive results! I couldn't believe it. I told him we contacted the office immediately and they scheduled us this far out. He then told us they should have contacted him right away. I had also experienced coughing up blood, even though I had no trouble breathing and had no nagging cough, this was scary. When Dr. Luo got the x-ray results, he told me over the phone that my lungs looked as bad as patients who were on ventilators! This made me very nervous and scared. Especially since I felt fine and had no issues breathing. I went to an Urgent Care, that my friend is the nurse at, and she did an x-ray and told me that COVID had settled in my lungs and I just needed time for it to clear itself. It was not like a patient who was on a ventilator! After COVID cleared up for me, my wife was still experiencing difficulties. She had a high resting heart rate and at times difficulty breathing. She came to Dr. Luo's office to sign papers allowing Jessica to get her x-ray and information from Urgent Care to Dr. Luo. Jessica assured us she would get back to Jennifer right away. After 3 callbacks from my wife, because we never heard back from Jessica, Jessica finally was able to get the information. However each time my wife called Jessica, she would ask for the address of the Urgent Care. This could only mean that she was not reaching out to them when she told us she did. Two weeks later and 3 reminder calls is unacceptable to something this important which needed attention. The rating is more for the office and how they run the office, late return phone calls, sometimes never a return call, prescriptions not faxed over, and information not given to Dr. Luo. COVID really shined the light on how disorganized both the staff and the Dr. can be. We have recently found a new Doctor. The new experience with him and his staff has been a night and day difference."
"Dr. Lou is a genius and real hero to me. After suffering year's of shoulder pain that progressively gotten worse, Dr. Lou has eliminated my pain with acupuncture ! My shoulder had gotten so bad my arm was not useable. I icing for hours every day. The Steroid injections I was getting were no longer effective and the pain was excruciating . After just one of Dr. Lou's treatments the pain started to subside and 5 treatments later my arm and shoulder is PAIN FREE for the first time in over ten years. I am grateful that I was led to Dr. Lou."
"Starting see Dr Luo about two years ago, he is a great doctor but his staff is horrible and rude, particularly Jessica. They are unorganized, ordered the wrong prescriptions and are argumentative about deductibles and copays. The final straw for me was I had acupuncture in Aug, paid up front but was told by Jessica I would receive a refund if my insurance paid, which they did in Sept. They finally called me and said my check was ready. I asked Jessica to mail it because I did not want to come to the office because of COVID, she was very rude and refused to mail it. I show up today and the check is not there. I have had it with this staff!!! I would not recommend this office."
"On October 8 2020, I called the clinic of Dr. Luo and spoke to Jessica, and I relayed to her that Simon Imaging wants the medical procedure orders be sent to them directly by the doctor even though I have the paper document order I obtained during my last visit with Dr. Luo. I was advised by Simon Imaging to call the provider, Dr. Luo and state to him what was needed. When I told Jessica what Simon Imaging needed, she said "bull." I said, "please do not talk like that." And she went on and on that they always give the paperwork to the patient and never had a problem. I said, Simon Imaging might have changed their rules but I am calling because that is what they want. She said, she will call Simon Imaging and she said, "that is still bull." I said thank you and she hanged up without saying anything, neither 'thank you nor you are welcome.' She called me a few minutes later and mentioned that she spoke to the manager at Simon Imaging and told me to talk to her. She said, quote unquote, "I am at lunch and I am still helping you, do you understand that?" I was taken aback by her statement and her tone of voice and I just lost it, I said "you do not deserve this job." And I hanged up. Never did I get a rude reception like that. I have mentioned this to Dr. Luo many times before this encounter that he is a good doctor and I was thinking of looking for another doctor because the front desk personnel are rude. This is my 5th year with the doctor and I am now thinking seriously of looking for another one....with a better customer service. The doctor is fine but the front desk is terrible. They do not greet you, instead their greeting is "Your co-pay is 25 dollars." Just like that. I worked at medical facilities before for 30 years but never treated our patients this way. We trained for good customer service 2X a year. No star or One star for the clerk. 4 star for the doctor."
