"The first time I dropped in to this place to check it out I caught the end of an open mat class. The energy was amazing. It was a mix of all types of people, men, women, kids and old guys like me. Everyone was soaked through with sweat and smiling from ear to ear. This is a community of people who find a lot of joy in one another's company and in their shared practice of this art."

"I had the opportunity to train with Coach Birchak's team for a couple weeks while in the area, and it was a great experience! This is a very competitive but fun and welcoming gym. I learned lots and had a lot of good hard rounds, both Muay Thai and BJJ. If I end up back in Arizona, I'd make a point of continuing to train here. I highly recommend these guys!"

"I never wanted to move back to Tucson but when I had to, I was excited to be able to train here. As a newbie they have great fundamentals classes, and when you’re ready you can try the all levels and the adv. I never felt like I wasn’t good enough or didn’t have a place. Everyone was super welcoming. Plus they have a great community of females and women’s only classes if that’s what you’re more interested in. Would recommend to any girlie who wants to try it. For guys, idk, I don’t talk to them."

"Especially recommend if you're a lady or looking for some BATTLE TESTED techniques or interested in pursuing competition. Not many in Arizona, can rival the experience and caliber of the athletes and coaching staff here. I knew very little about MMA when I entered this school around 6 years ago as an 19yo girl. Including how lucky I was to stumble across people like coach Anthony and coach Mercedes in the fight business. Obviously they're great at what they do, but more so they understand the intricacies of fighting. Promotion, management, health, nutrition, mindset, cornering, knowing your athlete, training scars, translation of knowledge, details, etc. They all give back to the community, spread knowledge not staph, and understand it's not gym vs gym but Tucson vs Everyone. As I continue on my journey as a professional fighter, I offend recall their wisdom and trust the techniques they've equipped me with against high level adversary. Anyone can add frostin but it takes a master chef to bake cake out of random ingredients, such was me in my early days. Would recommend all my loved ones here but also especially women too. They're treated as a priority here both in safety and technique and they'll give you the tools to take it as far as you want at any age, weight, etc. Rare stuff. Good vibes. Clean mats. Wrestling AND Jiu jitsu. Always excited to visit whenever I'm in town and will always learn something new and have fun. You're not broken, it's never too late. You absolutely can. Combat sports belong to EVERYONE. Get on the mats!"
