Institute for Mental Health Research

The Institute for Mental Health Research, located at 5665 North Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale, Arizona, has been dedicated to funding mental health research in the state since 2001. Established following the recommendations of the Bush Commission, the Institute was created to support young investigators and conduct world-renowned research in the field of mental health.

Since its inception, the Institute has been at the forefront of identifying and funding research on the mental health impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the Institute is committed to addressing mental health care disparities and the needs of vulnerable populations. Through grantmaking and partnerships, IMHR aims to make a life-changing impact for millions of people in Arizona, the nation, and beyond.

With a $20 : $1 return on initial grant money, the Institute has contributed over $20 million towards mental health research in Arizona. Your support is vital in providing funding to Arizona scientists working on innovative research to address complex mental health issues in society.
