"Prior to taking this course, I spent months researching and debating between going to a traditional trade school which would put me $20k-30k in debt plus 9 months of after-work school, or doing a self-paced online school which would be cheaper but lacked the hands-on experience of learning. The owner of my company Mike came to me and talked to me about BTI. They have 6-week course (four in class two in apprenticeship) 8 hours a day. (They also have an evening class that is 4 hours a day for 8 weeks) that would cost about $9,700, Teach me the essential knowledge I need to work in the field as an HVAC service tech as well as being able to earn my EPA Universal certification. For our class, we had Phil as our instructor. He did an awesome job of articulating the information for us and confirming our knowledge of the information. Our class had a wide range of students from just starting into the field to already in-the-field service techs looking to sharpen their skills, everyone was able to learn from this course. If you are wanting to get into the field or are already in it but want to gain technical knowledge, I strongly recommend taking this path for your education. I'm glad I took this route. It saved me a lot of money while allowing me to get technical knowledge as well as hands-on experience. This is also a great route for employers looking to send candidates who have the right attributes but need training in the field.
