"My first interaction with Ironwood Cancer was with Dr Bhalla in 2010 and he treated me for a severe DVT in my left leg. He came highly recommended, and I had the best experience for the year that I was there. Speed up to 2019…I was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer right before the pandemic started. After a complete Thyroidectomy , they found I had cancer present in 2 of the surrounding lymph nodes. I was referred to Davis Romney to undergo my RAI treatment and to eliminate any remaining thyroid tissue post the thyroidectomy. From the moment we met with him we knew we were in the best hands. He explained in detail what my staging was, answered any questions or concerns and we went over the treatment plan. He is knowledgeable, covers all the bases and he actually cares for his patients. I’m a nervous worrier by nature and I leave there feeling a sense of peace and reassurance. I have always felt HEARD and all of my care from communication, quick responses, testing (and further testing), and in person appointments, have always been positive and thorough. Ironwood Cancer Research and Dr Romney are beyond amazing and they are someone you absolutely want in your arsenal when you’re fighting cancer. I can’t thank them all enough."

"I’m Very unhappy with the treatment plan and care I received. They have shortened my life! I came to see Dr Puneet Bhalla, Oncologis, and was referred to Davis Romney, Radiologist, for 10 treatment for lung cancer Stage 1B. They said I only needed 10 radiation treatments to kill the cancer. Follow up 3 months later with CT Scan and Pet Scan showed something growing but Dr Romney said it was scar tissue. My Neurologist saw something on a shoulder CT Scan and had me take a report back to Ironwood in November 2022;. Dr Romney ignored it said it didn’t mean anything to him. By January 2023 my tumor was 12cm. And I’m in STAGE 3D very with a aggressive tumor. Needless to say I was definitely miss treated. I’m at MD Anderson now. Lung Tumor had returned. MD Anderson said they would have treated with stronger radiation and followed up with chemotherapy to kill any cancer cells. I never had a follow up with Dr Bhalla, Oncologist. He is the one who should have also review the CT Scans and Pet Scans. I don’t know why they did NOT give me a follow up with my Oncologist. This is so WRONG! I should have had all follow up with the ONCOLOGIST and he should have been the one reviewing the CT Scans and Pet Scans. I Do NOT trust Ironwood."
