"I was referred to Dr. Gopal for anemia and ended up needing iron infusions. I was a little anxious about my appointments, as I had no idea what they entailed. When I went in for my first infusion, I was emotional not from anxiety, but because my dad who lives in another state, was recently diagnosed with cancer. Being in that environment brought me sadness from not being able to be with him for his treatments. However, every staff member I encountered from check-in, to Dr. Gopal & Jaclyn, the medical assistants and nurses - everyone was so kind and helpful. It brought me comfort, having a better idea of what my dad's experience was like, and hope that he was under the care of similar thoughtful staff. I ended up needing several rounds of iron infusions, months apart, and each time the care I received was wonderful. I never thought I would actually look forward to my appointments. I eventually underwent a procedure and no longer needed future infusions, and was surprisingly sad to say goodbye to the wonderful staff and doctors. At the time of my first round of infusions, they had no idea that my dad was recently diagnosed and was undergoing treatment simultaneously. I'll be forever grateful to them for providing me with such great care and helping to bring me comfort even in ways they didn't realize."

"I feel I've been treated very well there, with just one exception. My last chemo appointment involved attaching the "machine" but the nurse didn't tack it down very well and it came loose."

"For a 30 min visit, I was there 2 hours. I needed my chemo port flushed. The flush never happened and I was late to work. I was given a lab order for my next visit in May, then called 5 minutes after I left and told that I forgot to get my labs done. I was JUST given the order and told to have it done in May. The Gilbert office said they would transfer me to the Tempe location...they did not. They sure sent that bill out though, they've got their priorities in order. This place is worse than Ironwood and I don't even know how that is possible. Finding an oncologist that cares is very tough. UPDATE ::::: TWO months (and TWO times) after I have asked for a transfer, I have not gotten the transfer. Why is this? Why are you so incompetent? Also, since I did not get my port flushed on the same day, I have a huge bill of $292.00....for literally 3 minutes. Unacceptable. This bill is caused by the inefficiency of the office in Gilbert. I won't be paying for the errors and slackness of others. Ink that."

"I really like this office. I saw Dr. Gopal and I thought he had great bedside matter and was looking forward to him handling my care for my anemia. The only complaint I have is, the morning of my first infusion I received a call to go over pricing and turns out they are a “tier 2 provider” so my insurance didn’t cover as much and my one of 6 infusions was over $600 out of pocket. I now have to start all of this over with a new office that is “tier 1”. I would have been nice to have more notice as I had already arranged child care so I could get my infusion done."
