"I'm not sure why Barlows gets the 1 & 2 Star ratings. Our experience was definitely 5-Star. We just had a 48" built-in GE refrigerator replaced under warranty by GE and the exchange was conducted by Barlows. A 48" built-in refrigerator is "a monster." The two Barlows delivery men (Justin & Ross) were outstanding in every respect, from communicating their delivery time, their courtesy, and the professional manner of their install. These two men (Justin & Ross) took great care making sure nothing was damaged, dinged, or scratched (including our floors and the cabinet space), and Justin spent time making sure the new refrigerator was properly leveled, and squared-up in the cabinet. I do realize that sometimes "things" happen, and perhaps a 1 or 2 Star is deserved, but honestly, our experience today with Barlows was a solid 5-Star. Special kudos to Justin & Ross."
"Buyer beware- do NOT buy appliances at Home Depot...they are installed by this horrible company. They assume no responsibility or accountability for the customer experience.They installed our washer uneven and tried blaming our floor (see picture). The driver was rude to my neighbor and when I inquired about the unevenness the other employee was useless. After they left, we’d so covered the washer had no running water. We’re returning our appliances and would not recommend buying appliances for rom Home Depot or using this company."
"The driver who was in charge was totally rude (maybe his last delivery on Friday afternoon), but would avoid buying from Home Depot if this is their delivery service in the future. We purchased both a dishwasher and refrigerator, and paid for the dishwasher to be installed. Apparently he doesn't like doing dishwashers. First comment was if the bottom panel didn't come off the counter, they couldn't install it. My husband helped him pull the panel off, next he said he screwed the legs down as far as they would go, so he couldn't fit it properly. Left a big gap at the top, not level (crooked), ran a cycle without removing the paperwork inside, and left. I've included pictures of how he left it and after we reinstalled it ourselves the next money. I will be asking Home Depot for my install fee back."
"If I could give a zero I would! I had a washer and dryer delivered from Costco, with free installation, and a stacking kit. Delivery was set for Friday, nobody called to give a delivery window, so I call Friday morning and they say, "It isn't coming today, it will be there Thursday instead." Really?!?! Driver gets here and says, "Oh, you have a stacking kit, there will be an extra fee to install that." I explain, install is included from Costco, he can't tell me how much it will cost and that it will be billed to me after. I told him I am not paying extra for something that's included. He says he will get them in the house so I can do the stacking kit. Okay, so he brings them in and didn't connect anything, says I can do that when I put the stacking kit on. Lack of customer service skills and when I call the office I explain my situation and she tells me to call Home Depot to find out how much install would be. Really, this was Costco, like I told you. So they put a washer and dryer in the house and did not connect anything. Costco is being made aware of this situation and explained that the install was included for free and that Barlow did not do their job. I know it isn't the fault of Costco, but they need to be made aware of what is happening with the delivery aspect. Extreme LACK of customer service from the driver and office crew. Adding photos to show what was not done. Costco greatly appreciated the feedback I gave them about Barlow."
"I had ordered a Samsung refrigerator that we had been looking at at Home Depot. A local delivery company, Barlow's Delivery, scheduled the delivery to my home. On delivery day, they called 30 minutes before hand and showed up on time with four (4) guys. As I requested, the unit arrived still in the factory box to help protect the large 21.5 inch display screen in the door. I didn't notice any damage to the container or unit at all. They were very, very careful in un-boxing it after removing the front door, to my home, its a big door and this was a bigger refrigerator. It was moved into the home with 3 guys being very careful not to touch anything, with it and they did it. Installation was straight forward with handles being property mounted, water lines checked for leaks, doors aligned and footings leveled. The paper worked and bill of lading was properly explained. I've read several negative reviews for this company, and that's unfortunate that other customers didn't get the four men that arrived here. Two were supervisors and two were being trained and each step explained to them. Their training looked good. I would like to thank Barlow's for making this delivery happen on the day they said they would, and the crew; Supervisors Tim Morris and Robert Martinez and the hard working new guys in training, Sean Barnett and Kevin Mitchell. Good job guys, Thanks."
