Madge Utterback Middle School

"I went to this school 2008-2011 and omg I got so much to say bout this horrible school I got bully and and got pick so much it got worst in 8th grade. These group of girls in my p.e class wanted to poor a water bottle on my hair and throw a basketball at my face. They call me names I was always a loner since me and my friend were not in the same academy or lunch. People would pull my hair when I’m walking in the hallways and kids will pick on me and dig in my bag without my permission there were like so many fights. This school should be shut down or something it’s not a good school to go to I couldn’t stand it I’m glad I survive 3 years there but having to deal with friends that pretend to be my friend that wanted to tie me up on a tree and saying so much mean stuff to me and laughing at me was just awful."

"My daughter went to this school for less than a week and she was threatened. She saw someone get jumped on her first day. She couldn't wear any of her jewelry, or the color blue without being threatened. She said the boys at this school said incredibly inappropriate things to her. It's a very small school that's very hard to get around. Many kids tried to peer pressure her into doing marijuana, cigarettes, or drugs. It's a terrible school that I wouldn't recommend to anyone!"

"Magnet program non existent. Principal change/ bully/ unfriendly towards parents, staff & hiring practices & iron first her way leadership. Office manager gossipy & rude allowed to bully teachers and other staff with principal in plain sight. Preferencial treatment of certain staff no matter how insensitive & durogatry they are towards minority students. 2014 -present principal primary reason teachers leave in mass exodus. Racist views of neighborhood families by teaching staff member grossly negligent in following Unitary Status Plan."

"This school is terrible. Teachers never cared. The office made me miss a week of school for my own "protection" whatever that means. I had to be removed from the school because it was so bad. In my 7th grade year, they had no elective teachers. In dance, all we did was sit there. In P.E, we didn't do anything, let alone I didn't even have a science teacher. I was suspended for something I didn't do and was put in "i.s.s" for saying a curse word when we all know every kid at that school says those things on the daily basis. They principle treated me unfairly and i never learned anything there. This school is awful. They also took my skateboard and never returned it to me."
