"I am the full time caregiver to both of my parents who have both been seen by Dr. Nguyen. While the doctor preformed his procedures fine, its the office staff that was simply awful to deal with. I was told my father, who can't drive, is very limited in mobility and a constant fall risk MUST, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, appear in person for a consultation, not a procedure or exam but a consultation. No telehealth is available, period, no exceptions. When I pushed and questioned the ethics of that position I was told very harshly that the only exception is if the referring doctor told them telehealth was necessary. So screw your patients and question their integrity unless a doctor says they actually can't drive. Ridiculous, seriously. The person who spoke to me over the phone refused to even tell me what day my father's appoint was on, telling me that I have no right to know as I am not the patient. When I told her I had medical power of attorney on file with his doctors and the hospital I was told that they were not affiliated with Eisenhower Medical Center so that means nothing to them. I deal with dozens of doctor's offices daily for both of my parents and I have never been spoken too so poorly and abruptly by someone who obviously did not care about my father, his need to be seen by the doctor, or our ability to comply with their policies and procedures. Completely a "if you don't like it, we don't care" attitude. This is one doctor's office who needs to control their staff a lot more, maybe some empathy training might work, but likely not, usually this kind of attitude starts from the top and would only be tolerated if management is as much a perpetrator as a supervisor."

"Review is not for the doctor, but the staff. Was scheduled for surgery and when I explained that I'm single and know few people, the admin response was "they give us a time, you have to be there." Rescheduling was out of the question. When my ride fell through, I had to cancel. The doctor himself seemed quite pleasant. But I still have my hernia."

"This doctor is terrible! I went in to discuss possible procedures and he couldn't understand why I was there because he claimed that I was too heavy (45 pounds over where I should be and I am 6'3") at the moment to have my hernias fixed. The one hernia is causing internal bleeding. He then went on to say that no one in the valley would touch me because of my weight and heart condition and the heart attacks that I have had...I have had NO heart attacks and have been to the cardiologist and my heart is in excellent condition. He said oh must have you confused with another patient and then he walked out with no examination at all. If he can't even take the time to examine or get the correct patient information then I sure would not want him performing surgery on me or anyone I cared about."

"Dr. Nguyen-Minh performed my gall bladder removal surgery in May 2022 at the wonderful Rancho Mirage Surgery Center and he was absolutely all I could want in a kind, caring and professional surgeon. I was very nervous as I have had abdomen pain for 4 years and have had 5 lower abdomen surgeries in my youth with residual scar tissue. From our first meeting, I knew he was the perfect surgeon for me talking about the details of the surgery and hoping he could do it laparoscopic even with the old scar tissue. Just before surgery, he came in to make sure I was feeling comfortable. My post surgery has been fantastic, Dr. Nguyen-Minh prescribed for after care - Norco for extreme pain, Docusate Sodium as stool softener, and a nauseau medicine (which I did not need). I only took 1 Norco on the 1st day, and only needed 2 acetaminopen for 3 days after surgery - and most people complain about post diarrhea, but I had none! His staff called me the day after surgery to see if I needed anything and Dr. Nguyen-Minh called me 1 week after for a personal evaluation. After 4 years of living with sometimes horrific abdominal pain causing me to go the the ER and Urgent Care, I am now pain free thanks to Dr. Nguyen-Minh. Just a note, I changed my insurance from 20 years of Kaiser to United Healthcare Medicare Advantage in January 2022 - and thank goodness - now pain free!"

"I just had surgery yesterday. My whole experience at Rancho Mirage Surgery Center was great. Very kind and attentive staff who made sure I knew exactly what was happening the entire time. The facility was so clean and well kept. My first visit/exam with Dr. Nguyen I found him to have a very good bedside manner. He was gentle and kind, while very knowledgable and confident. The day of the surgery he was all business, focused and serious, which is what you want in a surgeon! Today I am relatively pain free. I am SO GLAD I was referred to Dr. Nguyen. He is an excellent surgeon and I felt very comfortable with the entire process."
