"I have a friend who's children go to this school. The kids have been through a lot this year, and needed an environment that would let them know that they are supported and loved. The youngest one especially needed some extra attention. I have been a teacher for many years, and this is not a hard thing to accomplish. Instead of helping him in this area, they throw him in a class with a brand new teacher. He, being a typical kindergartner going through hard times, started to act out. When I asked if they tried to get to the deeper meaning of his behavior, the principle stated, word for word, "that is not my job!" This school is pathetic, and every educator that I have dealt with here, needs to find employment elsewhere where there is a mapped plan of what your job entails. Education, and helping our children, is definitely NOT one of their priorities."
