"Finding my therapist, Denise Stanfield, at AZRI has been one of the best life experiences ever! Not only did we ( my husband and I), meet our therapeutic goals, we exceeded them. The ongoing group support, also helped me, by reinforcing the tools and techniques that I was taught. I was then able to incorporate these new ways of communication and understanding into my life to make changes and and have greater healing processes. This has positively impacted all of my relationships and how I communicate (and process) with family, friends and work. Healing, clarity, greater understanding, self awareness, and advocating for yourself are some of my take aways. I don't know what my life would look like had I not found AZRI and Denise. They are a true blessing. We all deserve support. ❤️"
"The staff and therapists have been amazing to interact with. The Psychedelic Assisted Therapy program has been invaluable in accomplishing a significant reduction in depression and reducing the need for medication. I contacted several places and chose the program offered here because of the integrated treatment options available combining the necessary prep work along with the Psychedelic Assisted Therapy. I highly recommend reaching out to them if depression is a struggle you have been dealing with for far too long."
"The staff was amazing and very welcoming at every appointment. Denise, my therapist was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend the Arizona Relationship Institute and appreciate everything they have done for me!"
"Extremely disappointed in this place and sad to leave this review, as we had high hopes. I am only giving it 2 rather than 1 star because my partner is having a good experience with Carolyn, their 1:1 counselor, but I CANNOT recommend this place for couple's counseling. Our first counselor gave really outdated advice that was not at all trauma-informed or attachment focused and literally interrupted and yelled at me during a couples session while I was explaining a situation that was triggering me. We then tried to schedule with another counselor and while waiting for the appointment for a month right before it received an email saying that she was referring us to someone else because her schedule was now full. So we waited another 6 weeks for this other counselor who was clearly new and and inexperienced and not used to working with folks who were queer or had trauma and obviously had a lot of personal bias. I am shocked and disappointment by the behavior of the counselors here as well as their attitude towards couples who are genuinely trying to improve their relationships and want to put the work into it. It shouldn't be this hard for couples to find competent professionals who are trauma-informed. I unfortunately also agree with other reviewers who said that the counselors seem to take sides and try to pit couples against each other. They can and should be better."
"If less than one star was possible, that's what I would have chosen. This was my second time going to ARI, first time being for 1 on 1. That was great, Matt was exceptional, and I saw him for 8 weeks (he has left the company). This time, I came with my ex wife to try to work through some issues from the past and move forward. Natasha, was chosen for us, who had great one on one reviews, but had obviously had never seen a couple. She divided us, picked sides, and then stopped talking. It was like something from the twilight zone. If someone could do a worse job, I'd hate to see it. I was told we could end the session early (to avoid paying for a second hour), and I let Natasha know about 15 minutes in (soon as I realized how detrimental she was being) that I only wanted the hour, and didn't want to be charged for more. Guess what I got the next day? A bill for TWO HOURS. Keep in mind, she spread her few dividing sentences over the first 10 minutes, after that she was mostly silent. Easily the worst experience I could have dreamed up, but it was my literal nightmare. THEN, if that wasn't enough, I received threats from Natasha that evening, through Email, that I needed to reply that evening or she would send a "wellness check" if I didn't comply. Keep in mind, I said nothing about any self harm. She was being vindictive and was panicking because she was terrible and knew it."
