"My family and I reviewed a Gateway therapist profile online which states she is accepting new clients. I contacted the office and experienced shadiness trying to get scheduling options with the therapist of my choice. My email that requested scheduling information for a specific therapist was replied to by another therapist attempting to get me to schedule with them instead, telling me my requested individual cannot accomodate my preferred appointment days/times. When I requested to explore options outside of my preferred schedule, I’m then told that my requested therapist has NO availablity, again offering to book me with the initial responding therapist. After sending an email detailing my frustration at the situation, I was finally able to communicate with the therapist of my choice, who gave me the option of a consultation and to be placed on a waitlist. I wasn’t intially offered that option and instead, got mislead and dismissed of my personal request. If this is how potential clients are treated by their clinical professionals, I believe my family and I dodged a bullet and will not be receiving therapy here."
