"I feel Dr. Weinstock provides a truly unbiased family evaluation. With children involved, it is clear that they are his focus. The process is extremely thorough. He works to be as efficient as possible. He is busy and is not out to add additional hours to a case. I am very satisfied with the service he provided. The staff is friendly and prompt to respond. The billing is clearly explained up front and again throughout the process."
"After having already stipulated to engaging Dr. Weinstock as our custody evaluator, I can’t say I wasn’t concerned by the reviews I later discovered here on this page. The custody evaluation with Dr. Weinstock and his staff is an intensive process which at times can feel invasive and overwhelming. Do yourself a favor and come from a place of trusting the process at the onset. Be honest at all times, admit faults, be open to self reflection and taking the steps needed to provide the best future and living environment for your children . They are why you are here, not to win a war against the person you decided to have them with. With a JD, PhD in Psychology and a strong moral compass, your children will be the greatest benefactors of the invaluable and exceptionally thorough service he provides. If your goals don’t align with the best interests of your children, you may just be back here to leave a bad review. While I thought he was extremely hard on me at first, it didn’t take long to realize it was executed brilliantly as part of a very important process. He will challenge you and make you question whether or not he understands the situation and is capable of assessing the right value to each component and priority. You might even think he kinda hates you. I certainly did at first. The reality is that he is unbelievably good at what he does and not unlike his extremely thorough final report, he is nearly impossible to read during the time you are allotted. Don’t let any of it discourage you; given his impartial nature and dedication to always doing his best work for the benefit of your children, you can be assured the other party is being treated exactly the same. It was a challenging process but I wish we would have began it sooner as we would have each saved a small fortune in attorney’s fees. We entered the process not speaking and left the final meeting with the tools and guidelines necessary which provided a great deal of hope for continuing to work together in the future. Dr. Weinstock understands the most important components of each case and works diligently to ensure the needs of each child are met by the framework/guidelines/recommendations he generates based on his thorough assessment of what each parent provides the child(ren). I began the process with significant reservations and concerns but at the end I was extremely impressed by Dr. Weinstock’s approach, thoroughness and integrity. I have had professional experience with other forensics experts in various civil litigation matters and can say the caliber of the service he provides is far superior, consistent and reliable than that of any others. I wish I entered the process understanding the exemplary level of competency and professionalism which would ultimately be displayed by Dr. Weinstock and all of the wonderful staff members at FCE. Daniel (the graduate student with FCE), was a joy to work with and he will undoubtedly continue to be a phenomenal asset to FCE, the families he will serve and the profession as a whole. Advice on proceeding with FCE: Be respectful and honest throughout the process. At the final meeting be willing to accept the findings and be open to compromising with the other parent on a perpetual basis. Whatever you do, do not enter into the process with an objective of winning a war you shouldn’t be fighting in the first place. Everything you do should be done with the explicit intent of helping your children to thrive. Be realistic about what that means. When you fight without a viable and warranted purpose, no matter who you perceive to have prevailed, nobody really wins. You may no longer love the person you are now in opposition of; but (in most cases), your children still do and the more you can do to respect and support that love, the less your children will be negatively impacted by the decisions and/or mistakes you made. Those choices were yours (and if you’re here, they probably didn’t pan out so well) so do your best to minimize any negative impact you have on the child(ren) you share."
"DR. W was Court appointed to my Divorce. You have to be honest and take accountability. Take a step back even when your soon to be EX isn't. I feel Dr. W made my kids a priority. As a Mom that is everything. I recognized what I was doing wrong and applied his suggestions and referrals. You have to trust the process. It is difficult & emotionally draining for both parties. My kids and I are moving on, growing & healing. I hope their father is too."
"David Weinstock needs to retire. I can only urge any parent assigned this custody evaluator to immediately request another professional, especially if there is speculated or confirmed abuse going on. There was confirmed documented reports of my son's physical abuse while in the care of his mother and step-father. Weinstock completely disregarded CPS reports and even police reports. Weinstock stated that he felt the abuse wasn't an on-going issue but rather an isolated handful of incidences. Needless to say he told the court my son was safe with his mother and step-father. Shortly after that my son disclosed that he was being molested by his step-father. So David Weinstock's life and practice continues on, unchanged ,lining his greedy pockets with money, exhilarated at the sound of his own egotistical voice as he continues to make court recommendations despite the fact that he is inept. I don't know how many lives he is going to destroy before he loses his license to practice. My life...and my son's life....are forever changed.and it's a daily struggle."
"This guy turned out to be the Parenting Coordinator my mother warned me about. He has demonstrated that he will take no action to reduce conflict or improve the situation. In fact, it is better if the situation gets worse because then you will need more of his ultra expensive services that produce no positive results. If your Judge tries to impose this corrupt PC upon your family go straight to the AZ Court of Appeals because that is where you will end up anyway. The sooner you can get rid of this guy, the less damage he can do to your kids."
