"My ex husband and I attended court-ordered co-parenting counseling after our divorce with Dr. Mellen. She didn't help at all - charged us $2,000, gave us $1360 in services before my ex-husband said he wasn't interested in continuing on. Her counseling didn't help at all - no good co-parenting advice, didn't take into consideration all the past counseling we had attended nor any behavioral health diagnoses (he has a personality disorder), she offered no helpful mediation at all. My ex triggered suicidal ideation in one of our children, who was hospitalized - then he claimed he had no doing in it and threatened to withhold payment for it. Dr. Mellen was a waste of time and energy. My feeling is she is padding her pockets through her affiliation with the court. It's a terrible injustice."

"Regarding Ms. Mellen it is an insane, how lady with a low capability due her ages 80 years old involves in the children's lifes? It's a really ridicules who keeps for that position this 80 years woman, she should be kicked out from that field already a long time ago. There, l saw many complaints of that Ms. Mellen's dishonesty, she bias by money ways and a horrible for childs best interest. Does someone has reported that Mellen to the Board for what she done to harm many children with her authority? It's an absolutely worst person who l ever met. Ms. Mellen is absolutely dishonest shall at least to get retired due for her ages related dementia."

"She should not be allowed to practice. Word on the family law street this woman has dementia. My experience is she can't remember anything or is just simply dishonest either way it's simply unacceptable. She is incredibly mean and insensitive to children, I would define it as abusive . She will hunt you down like you are her next meal , which is another topic, for scheduling appointments and then once her retainer runs out she threatens to cancel your appointments if that ever happens consider it a blessing. Be ready for her receptionist she sounds lovely in emails but I have caught her in countless lies it is like she is going to take a beating from Dr. Mellen if she doesn't get you in so Dr. Mellen can pull that money out of trust account. Please do not take your children to this woman and I am a mother and it is rare for moms to write reviews about terrible court doctors but she is completely unqualified. My husband or hopefully soon to be ex-husband has done countless things that jeopardize the children's safety beyond even state law but she turns a cheeek and tries to dig things up on me She can't find what she desperately wants so she makes things up Then when things don't play out the way she intended, she turns on you and is incredibly dishonest. Many family law attorneys in town will tell you Dr. Mellen needed to retire 25 years ago Oh and the other review on Google is not written by a client-google her. It has been my experience that family court is all about you pat my back I'll pat yours. However, I highly suggest you interview anyone before you hire them and ask them the really tough questions because that's when you see who they really are. My husband admitted to drinking and driving with children in the car on the stand in court, yet is still allowed to drive with children and ditch tasc court ordered testing (the court appointed doctors do nothing and the judges do not police it) I've done nothing wrong even my husband says I've been a good mom and am but she is fighting to try and turn around the situation and make the alcohol sex addicted sociopaths, domestic abuser look good . Family Court forgot something when they change the laws a few years ago favoring fathers, children still need to be protected ! Run for this women if you are a parent and concerned about your children's emotional and physical safety. This is not the place."
